Since you were turning, you got off to a slow start, that was nothinggg! i'm sure with 400 hp give or take, this thing could hit 60 mph in the 4.8~5.2 second range...i timed this one to be 5.8 seconds. you should do one late at night in a straight line, I'm sure you'll get less than 5 seconds.
I'm thinking about picking up a sixth generation maxima, seems like a great car!
@roberth214 Get a newer one, the 6th gen 2005 ish model is front wheel drive and i spin tires stock and the struts squeak when they travel. good cars but rear wheel drive is preferred in my opinion.

A Turbo puts our fat ass VQ35's in the mid to low 12's in the quarter mile. Not bad for a FWD automatic? My last tuning put me at 345whp which comes out to about about 410hp. My boy has the same turbo setup in a 6speed 5.5 Gen Max and puts down 390whp, my next tuning goal is 370whp. So it's safe to say they WILL move faster... PS, my other boy Kevin RIP, used to run high 12's on Juice. Look for "sleeper1167" Youtube video's. Good luck...
blkattk2 get a intake, pullys, some new noise makers and have some one with a rep to tune it all and you could go kinda fast like my broke ass, or just get a turbo and a bottle of juice and dont rely on getting much more miles from your motor...... but you will impress your friends ;)

Aftermarket no, Nissan Maxima's were never available with a turbo option. I custom built mine with an available kit from Speed Force Racing "Google it" and it was put together at Four T's Garage in California Maryland, and tuned at PTuning in Manasas Virginia.
the turbo must be doing something bc mine dont come close to chirping in second ( and we both have 5AT), now that doesnt mean I dont have power bc if I put a 6MT in my car I could spin um in second and third EASY...
Dude, listen to my video resonse above, my blowoff has a squarrel chirp sound, Then replay this video with the volume UP and listen at time .23 seconds when I let off the gas and you will clearly hear the Blowoff valve dumping. Squeel = Tires, trust me I was there!!!

So many more variablies. Racing with a full tank of gas verse 1/4 tank. Empting ones trunk of the junk, tire pressure, track conditions, race verse pump gas, engine temp, A/C off, traction control off, etc. etc. etc.
Your failing to consider several aspects. 1- not a straight launch, this was from the side of a service road onto the main road. 2- This is a Turbo so it takes a couple of seconds to spool up and achieve full boost. Shit off the line a WRX STI rips me up from 0-60, but I can catch him, a stock Max cannot!!!
It looked like 0-60 in about 6 seconds flat. Not too much of an improvement over stock, but of course, your launch flat out sucked. That thing probably will fly past 80 though. It would make much better use of the power it it had a manual tranny.
Launching from the service lane onto the road doesn't help and running mid to low 13's on street tires all day long are not stock numbers for an automatic. Agree a 5spd would be better but if you can find an auto tranny that can hold, auto's are actually better for boosted cars!!! Google it!!!

I was just referring to your 0-60 time of around 6 seconds, which is close to stock performance. I can tell from your 2nd gear acceleration that your car is much quicker than stock. I know that autos have the advantage of keeping boost up while shifting over a manual, but a manual tranny will almost always put down more power to the ground than an auto. Your Max is still fast!
True however drag radials would be needed since you tend to spin the hell out of street tires... Not to mention so many variables from weight, temp, humidity, tune, gas, track conditions, etc. etc can affect true track numbers. through a 75-100 wet shot..i had a 2000maxima with ONLY intake and i put a 100wet shot in and ran a 13.7@104 on street tires, spraying from 1st-4th gear....N20 is good for turbos cuz it cools the engine
On the track just about everything and any car right now running mid 13's I either beat them or give them a run for their money. If I install slicks, 12 sec cars will have issues also!!!

I have a Speed Force Racing Stage II Turbo Kit with a T60-1 Turbonetics Turbo. Google chernmax and see my Cardomain website.
I also have a modified suspension with coilovers, endlinks, front/rear antisway bars and stiffened motor mounts which means my car launches straight and flat (no squat) and power to the wheel is enhanced as a result.
As for traction issues, not with my drag radial's which I use for the track to achieved those numbers!!!
Thanks and it's an Automatic!!! After tuning I was running 13.5-13.6 sec. but had no one at the track to film it. And the runs were on street tires not drag radials. My friend Kevin007 with a 75 shot and drag radials did a 12.98 sec pass in his 6th gen Maxima!!!

First off, I only was using 4PSI of Boost and second my launch wasn't straight, I was on a shoulder and had to turn onto the road all while holding a camera in one hand. With 8PSI and configured for track, I normally do 0-60in 4.8 seconds. With street tires I run mid to low 13's in the 1/4 mile. Considering the weight of a 6th Gen, she moves pretty damn good for an Automatic...
PS, I do have a Tial 33mm Blowoff valve but with an Automatic you won't hear the dump (squirrel chirp) untill you let off the gas. 6 spd manuals normally dump between gear shifts. Look through my other Youtube videos and I have one with a Turbo driveby and you will hear it Blowoff valve dump in that VID.

Yes, I installed it when I did volunteer work in my community for the American Red Cross, I was on Disaster Action Team member and most times I could listen to the emergency before my pager would go off!!!
With 8psi of boost the car is capable of 450 crank hp. And my car is a 5AT and since I'm FWD, I won't try and push it beyond that because I don't think it will get much added value. Too many other cars I could buy that are more mod friendly...
Thanks for the feedback, yeah lots of better candidates for boost but I love have a 4 door family sports sedan that is roomy and comfortable and can haul ass even with 5 people inside!!! The funnest thing is the look on peoples face when they think they are about to own you and get nothing more than a look at my LED tail lights. Overall fun car to drive but I do know my limitations and I'm totally cool with it!!!
Yes, thank goodness I had an APEXi Super AFC-II before because I was able to flip it (sell) when I went boost verse a TS flashed ECU which would have meant I take it to a dealership and have them reflash it back to baseline. Not to mention the money loss since a TS relash is not cheap!!!

I think he's referring to your turbo set up. Garrett makes a T3/T4 Hybrid ball bearing turbo but i've never seen a plain jane T4 on anything.

PS, I do have a Tial 33mm Blowoff valve but with an Automatic you won't hear the dump (squirrel chirp) untill you let off the gas. 6 spd manuals normally dump between gear shifts. Look through my other Youtube videos and I have one with a Turbo driveby and you will hear it Blowoff valve dump in that VID.

Yes, I installed it when I did volunteer work in my community for the American Red Cross, I was on Disaster Action Team member and most times I could listen to the emergency before my pager would go off!!!

My 0-60 is normally in the 4.8 range, but FWD cars take longer to hook with street tires. Doesn't help trying to drive and film either.
My best 0-60's are on the track when I've got my car dialed in and focusing on driving, thanks for the feedback...

With 8psi of boost the car is capable of 450 crank hp. And my car is a 5AT and since I'm FWD, I won't try and push it beyond that because I don't think it will get much added value. Too many other cars I could buy that are more mod friendly...

Thanks for the feedback, yeah lots of better candidates for boost but I love have a 4 door family sports sedan that is roomy and comfortable and can haul ass even with 5 people inside!!! The funnest thing is the look on peoples face when they think they are about to own you and get nothing more than a look at my LED tail lights. Overall fun car to drive but I do know my limitations and I'm totally cool with it!!!

You cannot have a TS reflash on a 6th Gen if you go Boost, conflicts with the Split Second Timing Turbo computer...

Yes, thank goodness I had an APEXi Super AFC-II before because I was able to flip it (sell) when I went boost verse a TS flashed ECU which would have meant I take it to a dealership and have them reflash it back to baseline. Not to mention the money loss since a TS relash is not cheap!!!

Less than stock, especially with 440cc fuel injectors but it only takes me 7 minutes to get to/from work so not really a problem :-)
