@MegaOMGG Johnny was a real paramedic. The production sent both jonny and roy to a real paramedic program so that they would have the knowledge to use in their acting. They both kept up on CE's and updates and remained lic in CA as real Paramedics.

Emergenc was a real good show, I was too young to watch this show. I was only a year and a half when in came out in Jaurary 0f 1972. I did not get to see this wonderful show unti he80's when it was a repeat.

@theorangutans me too, I was born in 80' and saw reruns, but really loved it. Now my wife and I are on season 4 and watch it nearly every day.

This show is better then some of the stuff they put on now, I think they should go back to look at the stuff that was made in the 60,s 70,s and some of the 80,s, they will have a lot more hits.

@theorangutans exactly, It wasn't a soap opera like most shows today. They start the show, something's wrong with Johnny, they get called out a few times, they solve Johnny's problem end of show. Simple but effective.

The last time i saw the them on TV 5 years ago that i miss taping the show Emergency is one great thing to watch on TV. We all getting old someone has teach the younger generation to keep it going. The thing i miss is 51 show that I'm a big fan of Johnney and Roy and others.

There were 7 seasons. Seasons 1-6 were the hour long tv shows, but season 7 were 2 hour movies. Some of the two hour movies are here on youtube

Yep. Great memories. I became an EMT. and eventually went to Nursing school after I had my daughter.. I was in a bad car accident.(never was able to go back to nursing school.) Just knew trusted the EMT's firemen to get me out. Trust I first had watching "Emergency!" Still swoon even after all these years.. Johnny Gage! (Always had a thing for firemen... and native americans!) Waiting for rest of the seasons' DVD's to come out. I remembered more details than I thought I did! Show was awesome.

I've loved the show. They were making it when I was young so I remember the reruns but I still loved it. I've got all four seasons so far and season five comes out at the end of this month. Who wouldn't LOVE JOHNNY GAGE!!!! He could rescue me any day!! LOL!

this show inspired myself & three others 2 become volunteer 1st aiders then I served in the Cdn Military & became a medic. upon my discharge I became a Paramedic. I resigned shortly after my divorce which coincidentally was around 9/11.Recently however I've been doing some soul searching & I think I am going 2 go back.

I'm only 21 but remember watching shows like Emergency, Adam 12, Dragnet, I love Lucy, I dream of Jeanie, The A-Team. I was maybe 12 when I started watching TV Land and fell in love with old shows that pretty much was before my time. I still love these shows today and I also love old movies and music.I would hate it if classics like these died. I hope a new generaton would get into these classics. They're awsome.

Unfortunately, many don't - they're too quick to say that old stuff aren't as good as the new things out there. Nothing could be further from the truth (unless you're talking about computers and electronics - they are leagues ahead of what they were only five years ago).

I absolutely loved this show as a kid. I loved Johnny and thought he was really cute. As an only child i used to get bored and I remember using their characters as imaginary friends. Long live Emergency. I will have to go and look around for the series.
