  • very informative video. ty for posting. good work.

  • @zoommonkey This type of video is why I call my channel weapons education, thank you

  • im calling him tomorrow!

  • These are the best types of businesses. The ones where they really try to educate their customers so they make an informed choice.

  • @Yusuf1187 Great input, a lot of people have expensive jewelery, etc. Getting a safe needs to be an educated decision.

  • I love that "redundant lock" feature. Very nice!

  • $150,000? What did he have in there?

  • Very interesting!!!!

  • You sound like Brad Garrett... Another interesting video!

  • thank you

  • What an excellent video!!

  • @srvanddt1 Thanks, this is the definition of "education"

    leemax411

  • and teachers should do this too. this gentalman is truly suited to this job, i have never been so fascinated for nearly 30 mins about something i didnt think was as intreeginly complex on a shop floor before. i want to get a gun so i can get a safe now.

  • @biclopsbob Gun safes are really interesting

  • ...very intresting vid though

  • i wish news readers were more like this guy, and tell us what we NEED to know and not what nauty people can use to make some money, i heard very little to no news about mugs nicking scrap metal from train tracks or church roofs till they pasterd it all over the news, now every buck toothed, no hoper is thinking he can make money off it. yeah they somtimes get killed doing it, and it holds up commuters on trainlines but people dont see that the news reports could have inspired them.

  • great video learned alot iam new and it was nice to see why kmart/walmart safes r so cheap

  • @1221majortom He really did a good job on this gun safe video. Thanks

This video, is one of the very few on you tube that had a great educational value. thanks again. A firefighter in ohio

  • Last but not least. We have burglary protection safes here in Germany, and also safes especially for guns. The gun safes are normally a steel construction (as yours) and the burglary safes a special composite construction. Nevertheless we also have special safes which are certified for paper and disk fire protection. Some of these can protect your data or papers for more then 120 min at 1.090° C that's about 2000 Fahrenheit. These safes have a special layer construction.

  • @diceman1367 Thanks for all of your quality input.

  • @weaponseducation Your are always welcome and I'm gone take a closer look at your videos now!

  • You can see such kinda safes in the background at 7.35. Nevertheless I like the video very much and I am very thankful you did this. Also the "redundant lock feature" 21.00 is very nice but there is also a redundant electronically lock on the market (Paxos compact). This lock alone costs several thousand dollars though. I know some very good Safe manufactures in Switzerland which I am not going to mention now. These safes may be nice for guns but not for REAL valuables. Thanks and buy quality!

  • So let's get right to the point. At 7.40 he shows a safe which someone tried to open and says "This saved the customer over 150.000 dollars" I would NEVER put this much money in a safe like that. At 10.50 he starts talking about steel and stainless steel, which should be anti heat and stop torching and cutting attacks WRONG. Steel or even stainless steel will prevent this to a certain time but NOT stop it. What you need to stop this would be a composite construction with special concrete in it.

  • Dear weaponseducation team,

I have found this video on YouTube and was surprised about its quality. Now I finally have an overview on American safes. Good job so far, but I also have to criticize your safe "specialist". He has some knowledge that is true and he is obviously in this business for a long time. Nevertheless he has said some things only some though, which I can not approve with. He is right with the quality from the Asian market and also right with lots of other things.

  • Nice video. It's good to hear from people that know what they're talking about.

  • Wow the most informative vid on the net that I have seen in a long while. Excellent.

  • Great info. Alot of safes are not well made.

  • @sailwed1 I really liked the way he was so professional

  • What do you think of Patriot Safes? I was thinking of getting a Patriot Safe.

  • @PinoyPrepper Any safe is better then nothing, just keep in mind what you are storing in it.

  • I am glad you liked the content.

  • Very good video. Very informative.

  • Great video, thanks for all the fantastic information...

But you REALLY need some acoustic foam in that room you shot the into in.

  • Why don't I see any cannon safes???

  • @reysaint1 The shop is a cool place to visit!

  • Excellent information. Curt will most likely have my business when I purchase a safe.

  • It is just as important to get a safe for your weapons as it is to get a CHL to carry your weapon. It is irresponsible to purchase your weapons without a thoughtful place to store them away not only from children, but from unwanted two-legged intruders who want to take your weapons for use against someone else.

  • @23:45 Safety Cat recommends the long gun Fort Knox simplex quick box for your Mossberg =^-^=

  • Kurt is a Genius

  • spend the extra money and buy american made.

  • Kurt at CESafes, really knows the hardware and can break down the component architecture so well - what a champ, this guy bleeds professionalism

  • @weaponseducation you sir, are excellent and just earned another subscriber.

  • @diogeneslaertius666 Thanks for the kind words.

  • @weaponseducation No, dont you dare thank me, thank You sir for educating people with this Superb video.

Man, I thought I had a good handle on safe technology until I watched kurt drill through the finer points.

  • @weaponseducation No, dont you dare thank me, thank You sir for educating people with this Superb video.

Man, I thought I had a good handle on safe technology until I watched kurt drill through the finer points.

This is a Must Watch for anyone pre-buy on a safe, just incredible.

  • Too bad i don't know what a gauge is

  • U will pay up the ass to get a good safe upstairs. Thad if the Co. will even do it.

Emp is scary if u think about it. Aliens , nuke attack or a black hooker queef.

    Verrrry gooder vid !

  • this guy knows his shit !!!! excellent video... not boring AT ALL!

  • Excellent video. Where was this video when I needed it about 7 years ago?

  • Very good and to the point. Have really been looking for a quality made small unit for the ready gun in the house, glad you covered that at the end. Have not liked what I have seen in the stores.

  • Excellent information for those that need the education.

  • Great video, thanks for the info.

  • Or-eh-gawn. Haha. Nice vid though!

  • that guy must have a hell of a floor in that shop

  • I use a mix of racks, trigger locks, bolt locks and gun safes to keep my weapons safe.I also use good house security which adds another layer,as well as good safety practices to ensure my weapons are kept secure.

  • Very good video, thanks for making this. I learned a lot!

  • Great info!! This is a must see for any gun owner or person looking to safe guard their valuables. Thank you for posting and i will be subbing to your channel.

  • @MadeINAmerica79 I am glad you liked this video, it is "education" Thanks bro

  • Next set of questions should include something about proper installation and mounting. Customers need to know what their options are and what to avoid. How do they know if they're getting what they paying professionals to do? etc...

  • the fort knox at 7:30 ....Drooool! Great video lots of information

  • guns safes are a joke its about a 4 minute job to break into almost any gun safe.you been warned

  • Gun safes are a joke? I'd like to see you break into an Original platinum TL30x6 gun safe in 4 minutes. You'd be banging away for hours and would get nowhere!!

  • This is probably the MOST informational video I've found on youtube. Thank You.

  • The only reason i need a gun safe is because in Australia you are legally required to put your guns in a safe and bolt it to the ground

i would be happy just getting a rifle and putting it in my room

  • This guy is awesome. I have the feeling he could sell snow to an Eskimo lol.

  • Excellent video. Thanks for the offering. This was very informative. Good job.

  • I just bought a Heritage Centennial CX3360 safe, made in Grace Idaho, with a S&G Combo Lock. I bought it at Southern States for $1,600. Was that a good buy? Is it a good safe?

  • OR-EE-GAN. HA!!!!

  • Awsome vid!!! I am going to place an order for a Rhino Safe. I've been in the market now for awhile, and thanks to this video I feel confidante I am not throwing my money away. Thanks again for such a great video. Answered all my safe question!!

  • Great info, that answers a lot of questions.

    thanks for posting!!

  • Wow I am so glad I saw this video and I am so glad I did not purchase a cheap made in China safe.... Now I know what kind of safe that I want...

  • @manny298 I am glad you liked the video.

  • I'm just wondering, he didnt mention much about UL ratings. I hear Fort Knox isn't getting amazing ratings for their price and safes like the fatboy only have ul rsc ratings. is this a cause for concern or are they in fact "safe" beyond stopping a casual burglar?

  • Great video and info, thanks for posting this up.

  • @z3160200 I enjoyed making the video, thanks

  • At this time there are 23 dislikes, I don't understand. This vid is loaded with a tons of info. that will guide you to make a good decision when buying a safe. Go figure.

  • @skipwadoo IT IS ALL GOOD, THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

  • @skipwadoo

Its probably the anti-gun folks, they love to whine about anything.

  • @skipwadoo sometimes people accidently hit the dislike button. they are close together.

  • Awesome, I just acquired new knowledge. Well I am on the West coast so I bet I will have a referral but that man seems very sincere and professional. Thank you for this video.

  • I am going to buy a Fort Know safe when I am ready to start purchasing firearms. This video should be very informative, I'll find out soon...

  • This taught me a lot. I read a lot of the Cabela's gun magazines and i always read the safe, and i just assume if what ever number they are talking about is bigger, then i guess it must be better.

Just one question. Im planning on moving to Minnesota, because Illinois does not allow permits for concealed carry, and in my opinion that is un-American. Would i be able to drive to Florida to this guy's safe store and take it back to minnesota in like a Uhual type truck.

  • I have learned alot about safes. thank you

  • I'm so glad I stumbled across this video! Thank you! Excellent video!

  • Awesome job guys!

  • great video. Thanks a lot

  • Great video! I'm glad I found it. This guy knows what he's talking about it. I guess that's why he's been in business for awhile. Thanks for doing it!

  • @kramska111 He nailed it on this video! Thanks

  • Thanks for the video. I have learned alot that I did not know. Thanks for making this and sharing this with the community.

  • cat o.o

  • This vid has to be one of the best, most informative and professional videos I have ever seen in regards to purchasing a gun safe. EVERY GUN OWNER and anyone that wants to keep their valuables secure should watch this. Well done and I thank you and Kurt (or Curt) for doing this. Into the "Favorites" this video goes.

  • @amtrak207 Gun Safes are complicated, I thank you for the comment.

  • Excellent vid, very well done and informative.

  • This was a facinating vid. The best and most informative I have veiwed. I am in the process of moving and plan to purchase a safe for my new home. I have been doing a lot of research and have tried to educate my self. I probably watch 30-35 vids. NONE of them came close to the information you offered here today. I watched this vid 3 times and took notes. I will be getting my safe from CESafes, NO doubt!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • that graffunder safe is expensive but if i want any safe i would want that bc ik for sute nobody is takeing that

  • What a great video very informative great job once again thanks

  • @humvee34 Thanks for your kind input.

  • very informative. thanks

  • This was a truly awesome video, not kidding. This man knows more about safes of all types than anyone I have ever known. He has analyzed the amount of steel to the weight to the cost of all aspects of his business. He certainly deserves a big shout out for his website. Thanks for showing this video. It could have lasted two hours and I would have enjoyed every minute. Keep up these great videos, Thanks.

  • @RayH42 I need to get back in shop!

  • How did you know that I am starting to research a safe for my guns and valuables. I knew enough that there are many differences from what you would get on the 'cheap' from the big box stores vs. a good quality safe. This video was awesome and provided me a good education that I can now ask the right questions etc. when I go shopping. Thanks! -- Mark

  • @watrocket I strive to bring experts to the channel, stay tuned...

  • this video helped me so much and saved me a shed load of dosh too cheers bro and peeps who read this take note the guy knows what he is on about , im in the uk took the guys advice and found a better quality of safe for same price (although i haggled the fella like hell ) not the point look for quality and maximum protection not cheap, cheerful but gonna get busted with one knock you know

  • He looks like he's an extremely nice guy and he definitely knows his stuff

  • Wowieeeeee, what a wealth of information. Thank you and Curt for the info and good video.

    Thumbs up !!

  • why is there a cat in the store?

  • @MyLastSiege Yes he has two!

  • @MyLastSiege alot of gun shops and stuff like that because animals are a judge of character usually when a cat or a dog sense a "shady" or bad person they usually hiss bark and even avoid the person just a way to tell when a possible theif might be in your store

  • great vid!

  • Excellent reviews !

  • Very educational thank you...a safe is but only one of the security measures that is required in a total security solution.

  • Excellent video, Tom. And thanks to Curt for his time and information.

  • Great video, always good to get some insight from other stores.

  • I have an 1988 or 1989 Browning presidential safe, unlike their sporting arms of that era, the safe was made in USA. Including lighting & the dehumidifier, I paid nearly two thousand back then. It's heavy but it's moved twice with us & I always thought of it as extra insurance for our valuables & peace of mind when our children were young. After watching this video, I'm not as assured of the quality of my safe. Should I consider upgrading our safe?

  • @70scarrestoguy It depends on what you have in the safe & where it is located...Thank you

  • how are the sentry safes?

  • @ufcrampage You have to call Curt...

  • This guy knows his stuff. Thanks Tom

  • Now this is a great video.....

  • 27 min. and nothing on the type of locking systems. sturdysafe For a Real American Safe

  • He is so correct about the electronic locking you out. I bought one this weekend and my 15 months son keeps on playing with the button and locking me out. The beeping and blinking led light amuse him. I just gave it to my wife and taking back the 10 year manual lock box as it never fail me and I still remember the comination.

  • @kkutube1972 I have had good luck with my electronic system, but sometimes it takes 3-4 attempts...

  • Great vid Tom. You've inspired me to make a vid on how I chose mine. Keep up the good work!

  • Great idea on doing this Tom. Hats off again to you for making us aware.

  • Tom, I purchased my safe from Curt a Browning about 3 months ago, one of the nicest safes I have seen. Curt & Elizabeth were very patient I viisited the shop at least 20 times he educated me & delivery was great. I am ready for a new one bigger.

    Nice Video

  • @josephtorres11 I am glad you know Curt personally, he is a great guy1

  • I've been waiting and hoping for a new vid with him and his store! loved the first vid you did with him. Thanks for this video Tom.

  • @OneChoice45 Thanks for your loyalty

  • Thanks Tom... Very useful information! I am planning on buying a safe in the next few months and this answered pretty much all my questions. Now I just need to get all the junk cleared out where I want the safe.

  • @WeaponsOnTheWeb Placement of the safe is huge, I have mine in special areas...

  • Who do you recommend in New Jersey?

    Joe

    Shopcat53@gmail.com

  • @shopcat53 Call Curt...

  • Looks like this guy really knows what he's doing. I really was impressed when he talked about the discretion he uses when delivering safes to homes. Seeing a $10,000 safe delivered to a house will start a lot of talk around the neighborhood. The last thing you want to do is draw attention to something like that. People will wonder what you have that is so valuable.

  • @TheStig000 I am glad you noticed that, you last thing you want is neighbors talking about your custom safe delivery.

  • Great vid Tom.

  • There are two brands of safe I believe in, Fort knox, and Liberty, Both Excellant American made products, But both proven to get the job done, My first gun safe was a fort knox And I would not hesitate to buy one again. I'm going to be safe shopping again the next few months, and can hopefully get a deal on one of the two safe brands I mentioned locally, but If i have to I will go to all lengths to get one of those two brands. Thank you Tom.

  • @TheSonofthunder7 I love my Fort Knox, I have the body reinforced on all of mine, thanks

  • Excellent video, thank you for posting it.

  • Very helpful vid. Thanks.
