If by "advanced artificial intelligence" you mean about the same as all mmo's your right. Sometimes they just sit there as their friend a foot away get pulled, like all mmo's pretty much, they aren't advanced and the combat isn't as great as some make it out to be, and no I haven't just been put off by being griefed. Once you get a few 40ish characters the shiny-ness of the new mmo wares off quick. No end game content ruins it imo.
Seeber420 actually they have the greatest artificial intelligence in a mmorpg.. You can't pull 1 and 1 unless each mob is far away from eachother etc etc.. The game is 2 weeks old did you think endgame would be flowering already? Anyway I am through debating in here now.. You have to be pretty blind to think they look the same, they have similarities, since Warcraft came from Warhammer back in the day. But the elves don't have big muscles and 3 ft ears in WAR or the abundance of idiots that usually love to play Blizzard games. WAR rules and everyone know it.
Age of Conan is worth a try but I didn't find it that fun personally, and after about lvl 20 its extremely unpolished at this point, and lots needs to be implemented still, like xp from killing players would be nice. I hope WAR is gonna be great because I think Mythic really cares about their games and from their podcasts I know they are definitely raising the bar on MMOs. Been waiting a long time for a good mmo, I always refused to play WoW cause I hated the character models.
WAR will be hundred times better then wow. WoW is designed around mudflation so they dont have to put new innovative content in. WAR will tromple it design wise. I wont say anything about AOC as I will probably never play it since I hate grinding (which i hear is pretty bad in oac)

Snookudoug, What's good about this game is the active combat system active blocking active attacking. Everything is dynamic, the mobs have advanced artificial intelligence and not to mention the graphics. War looks like a cheap knockoff from wow.. Also yes, WoW is acually a 'Knock-Off' of Warhammer, as Warhammer has been around since 1980's and when did Warcraft come out? 1992 I think?
Also Point being, the 'Fantasy World' people enjoy on WoW is just a mimic, of something even greater. Warhammer is also taking the time to BALANCE classes, omfg. This is where AOC Fails badly atm. (See what happens when you rush a game and over look things) Tempest of Set, cant literally destroy every class, and a class using a sword and board (Originally design'd for PvE Tanking) can 3 shot someone with 'Something Reach Combo' thats.... just stupid. I've played to Lv34 on a Tempest. :)

Ive played druid and warlock in WoW and combat was almost never fast, still it owned.
I think you just played a rogue or mage in WoW.
There isnt any strong pvp footage of WaR yet, would you have known the feel of a Warriors RAGE system in WoW without ever playing it?
WaR is too different to be compared to WoW, ofcourse most people dont want to hear that.
Action point system is much more like rogues Energy, but still its so vastly differently implemented per class due to abilities, that its not.

Actually.
You might want to consider the combat speed.
Just because slow combat is a bad thing in WoW doesnt mean its that way everywhere.
The examples youve seen probably where everything thats right about WaR.
If you play a TANK vs physical dps/HEALER vs magic dps in WaR combat is slow, yet still not endless.
Ranged/melee dps/nuke career can go through an oponent really fast if it is their kind of target.
It only proves tanking actually exists in WaR PvP unlike WoW.
