crap video. it forgot SO MANY important games, like the classics adventures like FULL THROTLE, and MANY of super nintendo AND genesis era. Like important beatemups and technological advances like starfox and mario kart (FX chip). not to mention SNK games, that in this era were ALL ahead the time, and pushes the potentian of their graphics chip to the MAXIMUM!

finally, who got a nintendo64 in 1996 knows how STUNNING was to see for first time MARIO64 in that days. it was just unbelievable.

Dark Colony had upgradable bases and 2 races I think. Humans and aliens. It also had units that gained experience. It was published in 1997 or around that time. Maybe that's what you were thinking of. I vaguely remember it being pretty difficult. I always got swarmed by the aliens in it when they attacked at night if I recall correctly. Anyway that would fit the description somewhat.

How time flies. As for the next 20 years, I believe there's not gonna be that big of a jump when it comes to graphics. With games nowadays, I find it that they focus more on the realism of interaction, movements, fluidness, etc. But that's just my opinion. As for what I wanna see for the next 2 decades; I wanna see Kojima continue on with MGS or maybe a spin off of some sort. And also it'd be interesting if Apple goes in the videogame industry & compete with Microsoft's Xbox. But that's just me.
