I can't believe that she lost! She should have totally won. I was so mad...but then again I look at it like she for sure is and did get a record deal and Lee probably wouldn't have. God works in mysterious ways. I love her. Her and Kelly are my favorite Idols and they are two of my favorite artists!! Crystal needs more...attention or whatever cuz she rocks and no one seems to know! Also people need to stop hating on Kelly... just saying.

I am a huge Patty Griffin fan and Crystal has ruined this song. This performance is all "look at how great I can sing" instead of communicating the lyrics. It Patty Griffin's interpretation of a conversation between Martin Luther King Jr and God. It is deeply moving and Crystal has missed all of it. Yech!

@erinsongbird Crystal didn't miss a thing. She sings this song with deep emotion. She related a song about a conversation between MLK and God to a conversation between a mother with a serious medical condition and her son, the reason she was on AI to begin with. Any shortcoming is due to the time limits and competitive aspects of AI. Check out her studio version of this song to get a full appreciation of her ability to relate to Patty Griffin's songwriting.

Crystal Bowersox is an amazing singer and should have won American Idol.  I just listened again to all three final songs of Lee and Crystal and she clearly outsang him and the Judges all agreed saying she was outstanding. She was robbed! Lee is a nice guy and a pleasant singer but Crystal is a powerful singer and performer.
