I just don't understand how all these American politicians can just not care about this bill when there has been so much talk about it that even people in Europe (where I live) know what's going on and is scared shitless about this thing...
The internet cannot be touched or seen therefore not a tangible asset that can be owned. The US Government does not own it so how on earth they think they have the right to limit it is beyond me. We are truly living in the last days bros.
I'm not a very aggresive guy, I try to be calm and reasonable. Right now I'm trying my hardest not to start writing offensive words in all caps. The reason their arguments are unRISDARIOHSERSEHIFIOSEFHGDFUIGHDFGIODHFGIDHFGDFFUUUUUUUUCKIFSDFIHSDFHDFUSFUDUFSIFSFDIEINAFIREUPEICEOFSGHIIT
@TheCentristFiasco Have you even looked into this bill? You do realize that these "criticisms" are also coming from the people who designed and built the architecture and protocols that the internet is based on. Go watch TotalBuiscut's video if you want a deeper explanation as to why this is a really bad bill that will destroy the internet as we know it.
Sopa means a creation of an "alternative" internet. When they start to block internet, another set of nameservers will be setted up, not a few, but milions of, resulting in aa new chances for "another google" for example. The internet will go away from the USA control, and big losses are expected in USA in terms of jobs an business. that is what thei deserve, that is what they will get.
@extremelydangerous so the internet continues without america and all the people in america who use it. No sites are going to become as big after it because americans are a giant portion of the biggest sites on the internet.
No, in the first few days, internet would stop eventually, as the nameservers (and the names) are removed. soon people in USA would setup their computers to work in the "alternative one" (a procedure of editing one file and write 2 lines about 8 numbers).
As this spreads, the trafic on the "old" internet would drop, less advertising (see how much advertising you see in your computer today??), less money, people would communicate with people, p2p would increase, people would be free.
America will continue to use internet, indeed more than before.... as an "alternative" internet would have a gateway to the old one. Believe me, I write (build) operating systems (unix), and this is only a matter of days to set up. What depends on the "old internet" is money. This will have a break, or worst, a big loss anf fraud, as the "new" internet would be full of fake sites that will stole credit card numbers and bank accounts.
The banks (and the credit cards company) would have to refund the clients, and another 2009 crash would happen..
The bigger the "thing" the harder to block it, Egipt, China, Russia... all have tried. with a little success because the nameservers are in USA, When USA blocks the nameservers, USA would loose control of internet.. Just an email from me to you, and your computers would work without USA control of it...
hahaha fkin idiots if you are gonna put something like that let the people that actually "understand internet do it".and go sue honda or something cause somebodys car crashed into yours.cause if it keeps going this way then we will all need to be fkin hackers to even get to somewhere as simple as google.
They sure know how to skim the profits of business and innovation to feed their fat faces. I hope they, being the useless eaters they are, realize that by further stifling business they're stifling their food supply.
i'm actually beginning to have faith in the abilities of our children to figure out ways around anything these chumps put up to restrict the internet.think of it as a challenge, kids.
I don't think any legislation that damages the internet will truly stand for long. It's not exactly working in China, and they're absolutely brutal to their opponents. I know it's scary when morons with power are writing the rules on stuff they don't know about, but try and have a little more faith in the people behind those morons, the people these morons represent.

Please direct your anti-SOPA/PIPA rage to ©reativeamerica’s YouTube and Facebook profiles and their website blog. They need to know that their pro-SOPA/PIPA propaganda treadmill and flagrant denial of the facts will not help them pass “SOPA 2.0” next month or later.

She almost said, "douchejiciary committee". She didn't need to catch and correct herself. That label probably would've been more appropriate.
