Also your no 1 cylnder can be at the top of the stroke but jsut casue its on the top dosent mean anything it could be on the exhaust stroke

True but the markings on the crankshaft gear also align to TDC.

Its 180 out cause instead of timing it on the compression stroke you timed it on the exhaust stroke rotate the engine and realign the disty

is removing the head on a 6 cylinder similar to a 4 cylinder? I have a honda prelude 2.3L DOHC...more difficult?

Nope just 2 more spark plugs, 2 more HT leads, a few more bolts - should be almost exactly the same
