Stock for Stock the Eclipse GT is faster than the V6 Tiburon... Not by much however! The eclipse spyder is 200 pounds heavier than the Coupe version. Its definitely close enough to be a drivers race. Last 2 times witnessing these 2 cars going at it the eclipse kept winning by at least 1/2 - 1 full car. But i can easily see the GTS beating the tiburon by 1 to 1 1/2 cars.
Just my 2 cents on what ive witnessed. Not dissin the Tibby for you hyundai lovers!

@sleepyboy915 I have owned both vehicles. The v6 is in the Tiburon is very mediocre while the 3.0 L v6 in the Eclipse is a big step up. Don't get me wrong the Tiburon is the perfect car for price and looks but performance wise they aren't too great. Hyundai did the best with how much money a Tiburon cost. Eclipse GT is very underrated because soo many people drive them. Stock they are very quick with a 0-60 time at 6.8 secs if you have a good driver while the Tiburon is around 7.5 or 7.2.

Oh don't worry about that. the dealer isn't allowed to void the warranty unless the supercharger is like the blame for your engine failing or something like that. I was told by my Hyundai dealer that there is nothing you can do to your car that will completely void your warranty.

@Cabrerapride your right your eclipse is a gt which means its only pushing 200hp since you dont have the GTS which is a higher end model than a gt. the GTS has 210hp with improved MVIM air intake system that gives the car an extra 10 hp and a slightly improved power curve. My AUTOMATIC V6 tib with only 172hp with no kind of mivec or vtec system still beat the 210hp gts eclipse.. I'm not hating brot but i had a 00' eclipse gt and it was a turtle.. tibs are quicker and the driver in your vid sucks
