  • what drum heads does the guy playing at 3:14 have? please reply

  • Mr. Tubular, Ben tells me he uses Remo Pinstripes all around with the exception of his snare which is an Aquarian Hi-Energy.

  • sweet thankyou

  • the snare looks like a aquarian snare head the smae one chris adler uses from lamb of god and the toms look to me like remo pinstripes

  • Hey, isn't that the guy who went on tour with the Robbie Seay Band?

  • How low is your snare?

  • I don't know how low Ben's snare is. I can find out though. Thanks for the interest!

  • Lildrmmrboy, Ben said, "it's actually a very, very tight thick head on top (Aquarian High Energy head), and looser on the bottom. I keep the snares loosey goosey too, but not too loose. The key is opening it up so the drum can actually make the noise, and not the stick on the drum. Don't be afraid to crank it up, because a lot of times, people don't tune their snares high enough to actually hear what it's supposed to sound like."

Hope that answers your question for you!

  • was there like 5 drummers? O____________O

  • Goliath405, there were actually 7 drummers playing at once for the opening and closing of the event. Zach started, the others joined in, then they stopped one at a time until Ben was the last one left, then he went into his solo.

  • O__________O

  • wow, that guy has mad skills. he's pretty much my favorite drummer. yesss.

  • Thanks shughes53, I'll be sure to let him know.

  • that guys timing was a little off in some places, but it wasn't bad. It was definitely an audience oriented solo

  • Haha, well delliejonut, all of the solos were at least somewhat audience oriented since it was a fundraiser and all. 8 ^ )

  • Well I wasn't really impressed or anything by this video! It was all pretty basic stuff the guy in blue did! He has good taste in cymbals though!

  • Personally, I really enjoyed his use of dynamics in the solo. I thought it was creative, and the audience really enjoyed it; it set a great mood for the rest of the night.

  • ya lps nutts.. thats who i was talkin about.. u try and do that and show me how it turns out

  • Sure, I can learn some of his licks when I get back to school. Seems like he didn't do anything terribly complicated, just really fast.

  • Well DreadHead, I watched LP's solo again a bit closer. I wasn't impressed at all. It was loud, it was fast, but that's all it was. Not creative, not dynamic, no use of different time signatures, not anything. I'll take Ben's solo here anytime over that solo of LP.

  • look at pizzle drum solo.. the first one on the page

  • Well dreadhead, I searched 'pizzle drum solo' and the first one was a solo by the drummer from YellowCard. It was good. What about it though?

  • Wishful thinking on my part

  • Thanks firetrainer66! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Thats awesome. I can't play drums but I love watching people play them.

  • This has got to be the best one I watched

  • jajjaj very good! amazing!

  • Glad you enjoyed it lololoandlalala!
