  • @izitt I have one :)

  • wow nice interpretation !!!!!!!! very intense

    you rock

  • @pachanka11 Thank you ;)

  • you rock

  • how do you get the steve vai sound i know the whole song but cant get the sound, i subscribed

  • Try with a bit of chorus and delay, for the first theme use the neck pickup with closed tone's pot. Work also on the eq.

  • Sorry I've deleted for mistake a comment from L4toid:

Q:On a scale from 1-10 how hard was this song for you to learn?

    ************************

A: I've studied it for about 2-3 months. It wasn't too difficult to me except for the sweep section, so I say 6/7.

  • What pickups are in the Jackson?

  • SD Hot Rails and TB6

  • Wow you answered me before I finished watching the video!

  • Wow...great job! Nothing sexier than a great Steve Vai cover :)

  • I have that guitar in Transparent Red.

  • very nice man... In the beganning I was actually debating weather you were faking it ...great tone :)

  • you are officially god, dude if you that good get in a band. You could make it big time, most bands kill for guitarists like you

  • Thank you, I'm in a band yet, but we've just have founded the bassist after some months of research. I hope that now we can do something interesting ;)

  • What guitar is that and what pedals and amp are you using? Sounded great, well done!

  • For this video I used a Jackson SL-3, Engl Powerball, Bad Horsie II and Pod XT Live for effects. Thanks!

  • Nice job dude.

  • WOW!! Sei veramente bravo! Se hai voglia prova a passare a vedere la mia versione e darmi qualche consiglio thx! Complimenti!

  • You tried to improvise the hammer on and pull off bit, I died a little bit inside. But very nice, I liked the rest

    -Adeem

  • very nice :D

did it take long to learn?

  • About 2 month, if I remember well!

    Thank you ;)

  • whats abouth the tremolo..it's stayg on tune when u do crazy stuff???

  • Yes it stay in tune well!

  • good job

  • Is that a POD 2.0? What amp model do you select to get only the effected sound? Great job BTW!

  • No the amp in this video is an Engl Powerball, i used a Pod XT live only for delay and chorus!

    Tnx

  • great job

  • this is an original floyd roses? or its licence by jackson? excuse me my english i speak spanish.

  • It's the license FR made by Takeuchi!

  • Great cover man!

I love your bends & vibrato.

I am looking for an Engl Powerball too, do you like the sound of the powerball in comparison to for example a mesa boogie dual rectifier? Thanks in advance

  • I never played with a dual rectifier, the powerball is a great amp for me, you have to try it! Thank you!

  • whats that neck pick up like, does it contain humbucker qualities and can it cope with metallica, malmsteen and guns and roses style neck pick up sounds ?...also is this a neck thru model ?....thanks if you get back to me.

  • The neck Hot Rail is fantastic, I love how it sounds with this guitar. I think that is good for that kind of sounds. Yes, the guitar is neck through!

  • eii man great songfbut please is that the jackson soloist sl3? how it sound? is the sustain that good?

  • I've replied you in the other video!

  • amzing stuff just little thing i picked in your video your picking is the same as kirk hammett. vai 4ever

  • haha. i have the same guitar (but it's in transparent red). btw, nice job!

  • what do you think about this guitar? i want to buy a ibanez rg 2550 or a jackson sl3? wich one is better in your opinion? P.S great playing man! Vai For Ever

  • I like this guitar, great construction and fingerboard, the neck is bigger than ibanez. Long sustain and powerful distorsion sound. Clean sounds are a little "muddy" so i've splitted pickups in 2-4 position. The bridge works well.

    I've never played the rg2550, so I don't know.

    Thanks ;)

  • thanks man

  • genial :)

    ve mis videos

  • I never played the DK2 so I don't know, I think it's better than the LP to play this song because of the floyd..

    Thank you!

  • Abiti vicino a me =) bravo comunque, continua cosi'

  • I'm impressed! Well done! Greets from Holland.

    Ronald

  • great man, youre good. Keep rocking.

is that licenced floyd rose stay in tune when you do dive bombs?

  • Yes, it stay in tune well!

  • great!!! very very nice!!!!I can't believe that powerball actually gave you that vai sound..you played it perfectly..and I know how hard it is to play 6 minutes accurately and record yourself..5 dtars no doubt!!keep on rockin dude'! thelycandraven

  • bella michele...

    bella esecuzione...

la canzone almeno a te e'venuta bene...

    complimenti...

    ciao ciao

  • good job man

  • really nice cover here buddy i have a pod xt live and the powerball but i cant get reverb and delay out of it like you do without messing up the tone out of the amp, how do you do it??

  • For the setup of the Powerball i use channel 4, with bass boost and focused switches on, with about low at 6/10, mid 9/10, high 7/10. Presence 2-3/10 (depend on the power amp volume) and depth at 5/10. For effects i set the mix on the Pod to 100%: from the pod i get only the effected sound (chorus+delay+reverb) and than i mix dry with wet sound by the knob on the rear of the Powerball (about 2/10). I hope this infos will be helpful to you!

  • great job!!! you are fantastic keep it up i love the tone too!

  • Very nice man. Do you have the Stock pups in that? I thought all Sls came with the JB bridge? What does this one have in it?

  • Yes, pickups are stock: 2 hot rails + TB4..Soloists come with TB4 or EMG (in fixed bridge version) i think!

  • what are you amp setting in this aswell, sounds really nice! :)

  • I kinda of sounds like the recording. Butgood job anyways!

  • Hey I love the cover. My SL-3 is in the mail, and I can't wait. What kind of amp and pedals are you running through?

  • For this cover i used:

    ENGL Powerball 100w head

Home made 2x12 cabinet (celestion v30)

Morley bad horsie 2 contour wah

    TS-808 clone

Pod XT live in parallel fx loop for delay and chorus

    Thank you :)

  • how is the jackson do u like it how does the neck play and whats the bridge like :) good playing

  • Yes i like it, the neck is fast, the bridge is a jackson licensed Floyd Rose, it works well but i will replace it with an original FR in future! I have splitted bridge and neck pickup in 2 and 4 position to get a nice clean sound..

  • Sempre meglio!!
