Oh dear Star, what was I on about previously lol. But I did go to O2 last week and Leee was excellent! Wicked night! Only thing that was disappointing was that rock guitarist eeewww. He killed the symth (as in ruined it). I love listening to the keyboard rhythm but that guitar oh dear. Dam.

Some people mention Lee John-the lead singer / frontman. Many will know it was Leee John and the extra 'e' in the name defined the importancy to get known then...A stand out feature. The band were brilliant though, and as many others, lasted not long enough. Simply great rhythm and melody.....no rocket science.....the Hammersmith Odeon gig in the early 80,s was a treat......Thanks

Completely unique! I will argue until the cows come home. One time fro my old skl crew! I grew up with Imagination and no one can burst the bubble (ok he is gay dammm, uj never know, he may walk straight one day, jpkes Leee). But for us Ladies he woz hot no matter what. Cont:1 In the 1980's the Usa brough over Cameo - with "Word Up" & had Larry Blackmon wearing that Red Cod piece which had everyone talking. Immagination were the Uk answer to that - but they were before Cameo & "Word Up". But this song is a great song . It really is. Apparently Frankie Knuckles would use this track in his Dj sets when he played at the "WareHouse" in Chicago, Usa. And this was not a House song....

The 1980' were so, so good as we had so much music varierty then we do today...

Lee Johns Voice on this track is so WICKED. And the other backing vocals from the other 2 members is great a well. But the Bassline, Drums and then Synthesiser intro is so good, so right indeed. I love the addition of the Rhodes piano solo playing the back ground as well. This song should have done better for them. They were a breath of fresh air at the time in regards to the Music Industry. They were great performers as well as good musicians.

I recorded it from a vinyl record on a cassette when I was a teenager and managed to get the intro at least 4 times in a "loop" before the lyrics started. I know exactly what you mean. :)

I have to agree with all of the positive comments here. Undoubtedly camp, but the way this track was produced by Jolley and swain is spot on! Baseline, drums and Rhodes for the intro then gradually building to strings then great vocals and analogue synths. Brilliant! They don't make 'em like they used to.... Thanks for posting this. :D
