It's in F# minor. It starts on the second fret on the first string on guitar, which is an F#. The fourth fret on the second string which follows shortly after is a C#.

The F# minor scale contains 3 sharps: F#, G#, and C#. Those are the only sharps that appear in the intro to Crazy Train, so it's in F# minor.

The rest of the song is in A or D minor though (I forget which.)

The second fret on the first string in standard tuning is an F#. F# minor has 3 sharps (F#, G#, and C#). Those sharps appear in the opening riff of Crazy Train.

I've listened to Crazy Train hundreds of times (literally, it was even my ringtone for a while). I have near-perfect pitch (I memorized an A, and can detect other pitches based off of that.) It's in F#.
