I'm sure many people would even say that this is a sacred place. Dancing, and many other kinds of demonstrations, take away from the special feeling and special experience that this memorial provides. The rule prohibiting demonstrations is to maintain an environment where our brothers and sisters can enjoy the peace and spirit of this monument. Sometimes we need rules, guidelines, and laws to prevent us from acting like idiots.
I would fight along side all of you against several other issues in this country, but I just don't understand this one. I welcome some help in understanding your purpose... ??
There are certain things at certain locations that can ruin the experience for most people. I know you guys don't wish to physically harm anyone, but consider this ... Many people go to this memorial and feel a deep sense of patriotism and gratitude for this wonderful country that we live in.

I'm sure if some corrupt judge hadn't deemed that it is a criminal offense to dance at the Jefferson memorial, then these people wouldn't have been there. I can think of a thousand better ways to fight oppression from government and a police state. This monument is dedicated to the founding fathers and the inspired formation of our country and constitution. It's a place to revere and solemnize those who have made sacrifices for our freedom. The rule prohibiting demonstrations is to maintain an environment where our brothers and sisters can enjoy the peace and spirit of this monument. I'm sure if some corrupt judge hadn't deemed that it is a criminal offense to dance at the Jefferson memorial, then these people wouldn't have been there. Maybe they need to be reminded of the technique of linking arms and 'sitting in', or laying down and refusing to obey the cops at all when they demand they leave or disperse. we can all do something within our own communities... these events are happening fast and a serious of events is coming soon if we dont put our foot down and drown our govt from powers. We were estabished as FREE country-lets fight to keep it that way in peaceful way
