there are 5 girls from each team on the track. four girls from each set of five make up the big group know as the pack. there is one girl from each team with a star on her helmet she is the jammer.
first shot signals the pack to skate when the second shot is fired the jammers have to skate through the pack gaining a point for each player they pass from the opposite team. the pack has to help thier jammer and stop the other teams thats what all of the hitting{blocking} is about.
It's a racing game. Jammers (with star on helmet) get one point for each opponent they pass. Blockers (everyone else) try to not let the opposing jammer pass them and set up situations where their team's jammer can pass opponents.
