@kostasgreenday yes you would .Just make sure your cd drive is the first boot device and put in your windows 7 cd and follow the install options.

Why would you pay over $100 for software, I got mine from the piratebay website for free and it's the ultimate version. Now everyone in my family is using it. Even linux makes a great alternative and its free.

DO NOT GET ULTIMATE. you barley get anything extra. there are many programs than substitute for the ultimate crap that are FREE. i would never spend $300 on a plastic disk.

@xhog So was I until lots of people started using it then it became... crap, I encourage people to use Ubuntu which is excellent due to its safeness and that it's free. Before I get hate on this comment actually try it out then I'll happily listen to your opinions

with the upgrade version you get 32bit and 64bit but you need xp or vista . with xp you will have to back up your files first and then do a fresh install from xp .From Vista all your files and settings will be saved when you upgrade .If you have a brand new hard drive(no operating system you will have ti buy the full retail or oem version of 7

No windows 98 is not supported . But you could install the full retail version as long as your pc meets the system requirements ...1gz cpu or faster 1gb ram (32bit) 2gb ram (64bit) .and directx 9 graphics processor .

yup. i think you should install the 32 bit on a old laptop/computer and the 64 bit on the newest computer.

theres no such thing as windows 7 home edition, only Windows 7 Starter, Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate

plus theres only 32-bit and 64-bit processors, windows 7 works with both

as long as you have 1gz cpu and 1gb memory (2gb will be better) you will be ok to install 7 . Also to get aero you will need a directx 9 gpu ,but it will still work without that but no aero look.
