I play on the Sega Saturn 6-button pad with the traditional button layout. I have all my fingers out like how you would play on an arcade panel. I just prefer a d-pad to a joystick. That's how I learned to play as a kid on Genesis, lol. Seems like most pad players just use there thumb and compensate with mapping the triggers, which to me seems unpure, not to mention handicapped, but to each their own.
