I miss the old LOTRO... I don't like the new ways; I feel so heartbroken when I see LOTRO as it is today, no more great pvp raids... no more socialising events. Volume 1 era was the best tbh :(
No.. not necessarily.. You can sneak past the creatures.. infact.. I've been exploring most of the places just by sneaking through/past the creatures.. Just use the destiny/destination points to get extra speed advantage.. (for when it's needed) and then just look around carefully, while sneaking through.. when a creature is in your way.. just wait for it to go side ways. Exploring when they are purple or red is so much more interesting than when they are like yellow. And music is nice too.

No far from dead this just shows one of the most decolit places in all of middle-earth. But yes i do see were your coming from but in the city's towns etc... there are many npc's. It would be like a real town not rather like a video game..
This is a really nice video, but the world seems so empty. Not because there isn't many people in the video, but it seems like vast areas with nothing happening. Are all the towns and cities and houses filled with like 5 people? One of the first things they did with the big 05 patch for AOC was add more npcs to the vities, even the guild cities don't seem so empty now.

I went past the Forsaken inn and then i died right after i got off the last Bridge. Then yesterday i swam up the brandywine and got all the way to Parth Aduial and then died about 30 feet from the north downs. lol
in this game i'm a hobbit and all i do is explore... i dont try to level i just go around looking at the lord of the rings world, i have a few weapons and some good armour and stuff but mostly i just gallop around on my pony and check out the famous places i remember from the book...

Sadly none of the current games will kill it. the only thing that could kill it right now is if players came to the realization that its not all that great.. sure its good but it really has come and gone. the only thing RIGHT NOW that would kill it is its own player community. until a wow killer is released. The old republic, Aion? maybe.

Yeah you have to pay for expansions, like most MMORPGs. They don't delete your characters, that would be ridiculous. Monthly subscription is $15 a month with credit card / gamecard

Dwarfs and elves start in Ered Luin, however after the beginning instance is complete they are split up, elves starting in Celondium, and the dwarfs in Thorins gate.
if you havent got there yet try n take someone with you at your level, as i went with a level 33ish player n i was 32 hunter n if that person was not there i might not have made it, you have to run by some level 38s 39s if i remember correctly
I had tried this game early in its beta with an Nvidia GeFroce 5200 FX ! I KNOW! The faces of characters were all black fps was like 5 but the evniroment was solid.. Turned it up on very high just to see.. and it was BEAUTIFUL! The game was fun but at level 7 i had to stop because of massive lag and fps drops to 2-3. I have a new computer 4 gb Geforce 9800 GT. I play WoW and will contine playing WoW but I definatly going to try to his game out again.

in the downloading patches, there has been many of them since it came out, a major update every month and an expansion every year so nothings old in it and not surprising it takes a while
its the syle of wow and now already the server lags if its busy in shathrah so if they made it loob better, wich they could then the servers and our computers would explode.. its a massive game with 500,000 players online at least at any moment of the day, tough i stopped wow for Lotro cause3 im one that likes graphics but. WoW is good
i play lotro and love it, WoW is shit - but theres nothing wrong with the graphics, they hold true to the Warcraft style which has been going for years, and I'm sure they don't employ any professional 8 year old water painters at blizzard, who have over 9million paying subscribers, do the math, they make a lot of money - so it works.

1. I think the gameplay is very good. The world is extremely large and has a lot of diversity (even if you do not buy mines of moria).
2. The RP is very good in my opinion. Probably because the Lord of the rings itself has many fans, and most of them like to rp.
3. The witch king is not in it. Not really anyway. But you have to play the game in order to understand that. (you won't be disappointed though)

I had tried this game early in its beta with an Nvidia GeFroce 5200 FX ! I KNOW! The faces of characters were all black fps was like 5 but the evniroment was solid.. Turned it up on very high just to see.. and it was BEAUTIFUL! The game was fun but at level 7 i had to stop because of massive lag and fps drops to 2-3. I have a new computer 4 gb Geforce 9800 GT. I play WoW and will contine playing WoW but I definatly going to try to his game out again.

I have exactly the same! I played lotro, had 2 stop because of lag, Strted playing WoW again, now I have a much better pc, I thought about palying lotro again, but I think wow will get a graphical update, atleast, I hope so :D. Maybe something for 2009.

there is pvp you have monster play which is a battle in the ettenmoors, at level 10 you can jump in to monster play

yes i agree,i love playboy. some people become addicted to it,but they don't ruin it. Turbine have balanced it so it can become boring unlike wow.

its a great game, really it is its huge its got loads of content tons of quests that wont leave you having to grind(no really when i mean it has quests i mean SHITLOADS of freakin quests like quests comin out of every oroface) same with content and player race/class options youll never get bored with this game

I like Lotro, its realy good game to play 4hours aweek. At wow you almoost need 12-14hours to play every to get some were in that game.
I still play wow do from time to time, But Lotro owns its for a casaul player ho likes woods instead of dungeons.

in the downloading patches, there has been many of them since it came out, a major update every month and an expansion every year so nothings old in it and not surprising it takes a while

its the syle of wow and now already the server lags if its busy in shathrah so if they made it loob better, wich they could then the servers and our computers would explode.. its a massive game with 500,000 players online at least at any moment of the day, tough i stopped wow for Lotro cause3 im one that likes graphics but. WoW is good

i play lotro and love it, WoW is shit - but theres nothing wrong with the graphics, they hold true to the Warcraft style which has been going for years, and I'm sure they don't employ any professional 8 year old water painters at blizzard, who have over 9million paying subscribers, do the math, they make a lot of money - so it works.
