  • Know you tell me my phone is fucked up can anyone tell me how to fix it , droid charge :(

  • Hi actually i am using a task killer on my asus tab. The strange thing is that now i cansewhat is running in the background. But idon t get one thing. If i kill all the apps and then open browser goggle i got all app open again as mucic, facebook, avg, pandora, my net ,chess.com , clok. So why those apps are running? I don t get it.

  • Wrong, wrong, and wrong... Funny that you did a great job explaining how the iphone handles background data while claiming that android does it. Wrong. Android allows the app to run, because it needs to in most cases. Suspending activity is an Apple innovation. Remember kiddies, if it wasn't for iphone, there would be no Android!

  • Good point. Only thing need to be done to save battery is turn of mobile data connection when its not being used. That really works try it

  • Thanks good to know!

  • Gunna try it man thanks alot . i put one on and was wondering WTF!!!!!!

  • my phone so far actually seems to work better now that i turned my task killer off. i kept it just incase like chase said, incase you NEED to kill something but honestly you couldn't probably just go into your settings and force kill the app...

  • LOVE YOUR VIDEO!

Could you do an in depth review on the Samsung Galaxy S2?

    Rooting

    ROMS

    ROM devs

These would be a great subject to cover

  • Task killers are for crime riders.

  • how is it possible to save battery life on mytouch 3g on a 2.2.1 OS? i noticed standby is way off, nothings running, i dont have a task manager either but its just so slow too, battery lasts just under a day too even though i dont use it heavily...any suggestions? i just got this phone too because was a good deal and im new to android...

  • Wow, finally a helpful guy

  • Thank u i just got an evo and u helped me alot

  • This man speaks the truth. Stopped using task manager for a day and my battery does last longer. I use a stock G2

  • A task killer killed my family. #TrueStory

  • @emogamer what about autokiller? I'm using it right now and it's been recommended by certain kernel devs. What's your opinion?

  • true task killers should be used with caution.. sometimes it can bug some apps but just temporarily...

  • 3:10 thats exactly my problem some apps dont pause at all (youtube, android news, etc..) a bugger when you homescreen and want to get back...

  • Following your description box, there is probably an app that should be considered developping, a multitasker switcher. What I mean by that some apps pause to where you left (thats fine) and some just close down such as youtube. its just a pain to re-re-search the video or article when u dont remember the names cos u were in the rush getting an incoming call u hang up crap u forgot everything. thats what lacking in the OS at moment. at least havng the option to close or pause feature be great..

  • @einc70 sorry .. for all running apss..

  • can you make video to install ROM sense 3.0 on htc evo, step by step because I dont

know how does it work, thank you please?

  • @EmoGamer ssooo I notice my has been freezing up lately so I reinstalled my app killer..works much better now. Lol sorry chris I guess my phone just relys on it

  • Then what bell is worth downloading all this kinky defective apps is useless what a smart way those jerks makes thousands of dollars

  • Oh shit thanks

  • @EmoGamer are you friends with Zedomax

  • Your absolutely correct about TK*

(not a fan of it nor do I use it) **guilty of using it in the past when I first got the phone and didn't know about it

  • @emogamer: yea I am. I wish I could show you a snapshot of my phone. I dont have it rooted because of the beta test. I was very surprised to see that too! I could take a pic of the screen with my digicam and email it to you if u want?

  • @pikeusf23 Yeah! For sure! chris.e.chavez(gmail) Thanks! :D

  • Thanks.

  • What about watchdog?

  • You're so correct ... androids like a brain capable of running a body ( your phone)

  • So the task killer is not needed? I'm can we get more details? 4 us noobies? Running apex (rc2) Droid x...

  • @Mr2fresh818 Basically. Don't use it to auto kill EVERY app in the background. Only use it to kill an app that's broken and going haywire.

  • Contradiction. Are you against the task killer or not?

  • @SuperLegacy6 I'm against noobs using them to kill off EVERY app in the background. But I'm for people using them when appropriate (misbehaving apps).

  • well i use advanced battery improve?? so u think this is good or bad???

  • Older versions of android need the task killers (everything below 2.0 if I'm not mistaken). They just don't manage their ram efficiently enough and most phones with older versions of android have even smaller amounts of ram to work with. current versions of android are good though

  • Older versions of android need the task killers (everything below 2.0 if I'm not mistaken). current versions are good though

  • Android doesn't need your help!! lol

  • Thanks for putting this vid up. I work for Tmo and I can tell u, as soon as someone comes in with an issue with their phone (slow, battery), 90% of the time a task killer or dumb anti-virus is installed on it. I have the MyTouch 4G with 2.3.4 on it (Tmo beta test ver.) and I have no issues with my device being sluggish or anything. And I don't use a task killer, ever. Btw, this new 2.3.4 update for the MyTouch 4G is sick!!!!!!

  • @pikeusf23 YOU'RE ON 2.3.4?!?! :O

  • did you say "the cholo at the verizon store"? lmaoo

  • Seriously! Who gives a shit what someone does with there own phones!

  • @adder1221l I do when they are complaining about how it doesnt work right but they dont know what their doing... 'My Alarm clock isnt working" Because you have a task killer killing off your alarm clock app.. SMH!

  • Not so true, sometimes my phone lags like shit, and i kill some useless programs and its good to go.

  • Is your weenie still frosted? #vital

  • Old news, Anyone could of figured all this stuff out their selves unless they're completely retarded which in that case, they shouldn't own a Andriod phone.

  • You need to do a better research on how Android works and how exactly a task killer helps your phone, I can prove you wrong on most of the things you are saying.

  • @mcweed78 Let me just put it this way. You've heard of Cyanogen, right? The guy who builds Android ROMs completely from source? Yeah, that guy. He says its nothing but a placebo effect and does nothing for battery life and/or making your phone "faster." BOOM.

  • I think

  • To be honest the only time ive been worried about RAM is back from those G1 days. Gingerbread doesnt need one I havent used a task killer on my G2.

  • Im pretty sure if u just use tha back button instead of home ur closing out of tha app, so thats really all u need to do if ur not multitasking

  • @EmoGamer actually there is a kill all

  • my sensation comes with a task killer built in what do i do now?

  • @darkwarrior82 You could root your phone and use ES File Explorer or something along these lines to uninstall itGo to xda forums, you ll find all information there

  • I couldn't understand why my DROID x was getting slow until after I un installed task manager. There's nothing slow about my DROID X.

  • I agree but if your running a sense Rom you still need to some of those apps. Just like gmaps is always running in the background and I don't even use it half the time. I do use the sense task killer often.

  • @The313dash Doesn't matter. Even when you kill Gmaps, refresh the task killer and you will see that it will open right back up again. Its always there. Killing is futile.

  • dude is ur hair getting taller? lol

  • What's about the task manager that built into gingerbread?

  • Well after deleting my app killer and going a few days without it I do notice it runs the same but with a significant longer lasting amount of battery life. Not a whole lot but enough to notice

  • But... my CPU always goes down to about 100 after like an hour of doing nothing?

  • great video....although my disgusting 256mb of ram wont last me long :'(

  • I have a Samsung Vibrant and it has its own built in Task Manger and it works great!!!

  • Running MIUI, so I've no need for task killers. Gotta love MIUI...

  • Yup let's not support the android devs who made task killers. What were they thinking they don't need to feed their families!

  • I found they work 4 me especially on sense roms

  • @eleven38 yes it will free up memory. But as soon as you exit the task killer, android will start new apps and memory will go low again

  • this is bollox, i have froyo and memory can go down to 80mb and when i use task killer it goes up to 140mb so task killers work

  • @eleven38 Didn't you listen to what Chavez said, "USE THAT MEMORY!"? Who cares if your available memory goes up from 80 to 140. Android effcienty monitors that in the background.

  • @BaretoesAM well some apps wont run coz u dont have enough memory DUHH

  • @eleven38 Yes it will, android will free up the needed memory, Did you listen at anything he just said in the vid?

  • @smooth3d your an idiot

  • @eleven38 no your a idiot, you dont know what hell you talking about.

  • @smooth3d you fail, donkey

  • @eleven38 I think you're trying to compare Android to a desktop O/S. On a desktop, you will have to close applications/windows to free up RAM to speed up your PC, but Android was meant to run multiple apps at once for quick access to frequently used apps. Your "DUHH" is rejected.

  • @BaretoesAM clearly u fail to understand some apps wont run due to low memory DUHHHHHHH

  • @eleven38 Straight from the horse's mouth, "By default, every application runs in its own Linux process. Android starts the process when any of the application's components need to be executed, THEN SHUTS DOWN THE PROCESS when it's no longer needed OR when the system must recover memory for other applications." - Android Developers

  • Lol haha I don't use task killers anymore

  • I thought this was a new version of epic meal time lol.....

  • Thanks, education successful

  • The cholo at the Verizon store. Hilarious!

  • WORK IT OUT MAN !!!

  • thank you

  • i think zdbox is amazing for these kind of problems

  • frosting my weenie

  • Chris about time 4 a new couch huh?????

  • @MegaShawn1979 Never. Its molded around my body.... o_O

  • chris be my best friend man. haha "Bebe's Kids" love that movie.

  • well i have the samsung epic so it has a built in app killer

  • is it still smart to use task killers to kill apps you forget to close? like, internet, or games?

  • @brianvan09 There's really no point. They'll close on their own after a set period of time or when you open something new. =p

  • Couldn't agree more. In my experience task killers actually made my battery life significantly worse...

  • great video !

  • On it
