you can't be boring if you play extraordinary music, frank perspective of things is anything but boring, the pixies aren't a show off kinda band, their performances live are great if their into it, for example they altered "Nimrod's son" in the reunion tour and it sounds AMAZING!

But thats what the pixies are about, they are normal in there appearance(or unusual compared to other bands), but what comes out of them is totally insane. Listen to Frank screem, no one does that, listen to their lyrics, and there songs, there very unique, when it comes out of mundane looking people, sort of ads to its greatness.
