  • this fight was fake sadly, bradshaw wouldve destroyed him and butterbean...

  • @olwe666 Actually brawl for all were not scripted fights.

  • @TrueBhishm lol look at this fight man.... dont tell me u dont see its fake come on

  • @olwe666 From what I know Brawl for all were not scripted. And I actually take part in amature fighting contests. This is how a fight between two newly trained fighters looks like. like Bradshaw was breathing heavy in 30 sec and that can happen in real matches.

  • If this was all legit fighting then how come all the officials are WWF referees. Is there not some sort of specialist training involved and accreditation needed to be a boxing referee? Not to say the WWF refs could not have got the necessary credentials for this event but just something I noticed.

  • @213HBK Docs was outside the ring. Save money, Use our Refs. Get a boxing doc. They were grasping at ideas during these days for ratings. Nobody was hurt..Except Bradshaw. LMAO

  • hahhahahahaha jbl got flattened

  • Great to see JBL get slaughtered.

  • back whne this was out i actually predicted bart would win. not from the beginning but like by his second match, no help from wrestling websites or insiders either. same thing for ken shamrock winning ther king of the ring that same year too.

  • This should have catapulted Bart's career ... then they put him against Butterbean.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC Yeah they did the whole Brawl for All expecting Steve Williams to flatten everyone and that would line him up for a big push, only it turned out that the one thing noone knew was Bart Gunn was a legit tough guy and beat everyone. I heard to punish Bart for winning they put him against Butterbean to bury him

  • 75% of the guys you just named were greco roman wrestlers , which are real wrestlers, which is superior compared to wrestling entertainment which is what im referring to. not to mention, the ones you named were fighting in ufc before they go into wrestling entertainment. and first off i was not talking about a freestyle fight which would be a cage fight, i was talking about a boxing match, and even the mma fighters you named including shamrock and abott, still couldent box for the life of them.

  • these guys are pussy cats, couldn't fight there way out of a wet paper bag, with scissors in their hands.they cant generate real power whatsoever cause they have no functional strength. i can see that.they weight lift, weight lifting does nothing for punching, the only reason you saw a couple of knockdowns was because it was like the blind leading the blind. you put a real fighter in the ring with them, boxer. thai fighter or kickboxer half their size, wwe guys wouldn't last a round, never mind mma.

  • @johnmkrs83 Well, these guys had no proper boxing training prior to this bout. Pro Wrestlers can't last a round in a real fight? Here, I'll give you some names on the top of my head. Alberto Del Rio, Brock Lesnar, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, Tank Abott, Antonio Inoki (he fought Muhammad Ali in a kickboxing match), Bobby Lashley, Santino Marella and many more.

  • @johnmkrs83 Bart Gunn eventually got into MMA. In this tournament, though, he actually did beat a legit ex-NCAA wrestler in Steve Williams. That was a good fight.

  • everybody hates this...

it was a GREAT idea, just as everything russo it was done horribly.

this is the future of wrestling. wrestling will be mma with chokeslams and shooting star presses.

The problem was they let the guys really fight.

    None of them are fighters.

They didn't think about how fans react to "the worlds most dangerous man" being knocked the fuck out.

If you could have guys put a legit fight on then if no ko have the ref call a winner and do a wrestling finish..would be gold!

  • lmao, all it took Joey Styles was one punch to know Bradshaw out.

  • "are you ok? are you ok? you ok?"

    (...blurble, drool, sway...)

    "lets go!"

    GREAT REFEREEING!

  • Damn that punch was vicious. I think JBL may have seriously been concussed after.

  • bad reffing...never should have let it go. hes clearly out on his feet before the 2nd knock down.

  • Not so tough now, JBL?

  • Until Butterbean ate him.

  • Bradshaw was widely regarded as a not very nice person and a bully in the wrestling world. Nice to see him getting knocked on his ass.

  • I was surprised frankly that they did Brawl for All on WWF/WWE. WWF/WWE is supposed to not be real, and be scripted. Godfather got a concussion from Brawl for All, and was out of commission for a while.

  • This looks fake compared to the earlier brawl for all fights. I think the WWF kinda threw in the towel after so many injuries and just had this fight worked.

  • LOL i love watching this. In real life, Bradshaw has always liked to make it seem as though he is a genuine tough guy. Remember when he beat up the Blue Meaning for real at ECW One Night Stand?

Well this video just shows that when Bradshaw fights somebody his own size, he is nothing but a fucking pussy. Just like every other bully.

I could watch this video all day. A real little bitch getting smacked about by a real man.

  • is the boxfight show ?

  • I wish they brought somethin' like dis back... Like San Shou rules or somethin...

  • @Gauntlets they guys now are divas.

  • Bart Gunn competed in a few MMA matches after this.

  • Still fake

  • i miss this

  • bradshaw needs to learn how to throw a punch.

  • I agree with Jim Cornette, this had to been one of the dumbest things the WWE has ever done, because it not only dident win people over it was exposing the wrestling buisnee. The (Brawl For All) not only lost over a million dollers for this stupid stunt it also destroyed the tallent as well because look what happend to Dr Death Steve Williams when he was in it. And of corse it was Vince Russo The anti christ of pro wrestling who made the (Brawl For All) and on my behalf FUCK YOU VINCE RUSSO!!!!!

  • @368790TylerM whatever dude this was actually awesome and a nice break from the fake wasslin and guess what ppl still watched raw and ratings still went up after this

  • @368790TylerM That's amazing that you and Cornette came to exactly the same conclusions, point by point, and expressed them in almost exactly the same way!

  • To all of you that think this was real....

the beginning of the tournament was real but after gunn knocked out steve williams and serveral wrestler suffered real injuries the rest of the fights were scripted to avoid further damage.

Look it up and get things straight this fight was scripted.

  • what the fuck is this shit!!!!!!!

  • I actually kind of like these guys as MMA announcers, especially JR. He seems to be the only one with a little bit of knowledge. This was in the 90's, imaging what he knows now!

  • The best part of it all - its legitimacy. They're actually fighting each other without a script!

  • @mitalca35 indeed, i loved the tourney when it as on in 1998..last time wrestling was a shoot...

  • this is real

  • @RyuHayabusa751 I'm glad that somebody else besides me agrees that BFIA was a great concept. It did hurt Bart Gunn's long term credibility after getting knocked out by Butterbean at WM 15,but it was still a great idea that should have stuck.

  • @landrykkb i think it was a great concept too. but i think they shouldve had the final of the tournament at wm and left it at that, rather than having the winner fight a competitive fighter.

the rules were somewhat silly tho. had it been true mma style, dr death and dan severn would prob been in the finals, and i think tha wouldve been a worthy wm shoot match

  • @StuUngar It probably would have been hard to make BFIA an annual thing because it wasn't a 100% work like every skeptical wrestling fan swears that it was.

  • CAN SOMEONE PUT UP THE BART GUNN VS STEVE WILLIAMS BOUT

  • i think this fight turned JBL to wall street investor since he wasn't that great of a real fighter lol.

  • @breakerace6

    lol

  • Bradshaw's clothesline from hell didn't work so well, here.

  • Bart Gunn looks like John Morrison.

  • lol @ 1:28

    JBL's "humbled" position

  • I wonder if Bart Gunn knew how stupid and clumsy he looked. It's amazing that he is actually better than most people at boxing. People don't realize what they look like when they are fighting. All you fake tough guys should get in a ring and film yourselves looking like the pussies you are. I love fucking up pussies that think they can fight.

  • Looks like Bradshaw hit his head on the final knockdown, not sure though.

  • Lol i remember watching this and actually being one of those chanting "we want wrestling",Now I'm an MMA fan and only occasionally watch TNA.

  • @v1ct0ry55 TNA's got good wrestlers but frequently horrible booking and writing. I recommend checking out ROH and the other indies. This match is pretty good: watch?v=HepOJlJWPcQ&p

  • it was on here once but it I just went to watch it again and it's been removed.

  • Anybody have the match where Bart knocked out Dr Death? I cant find it anywhere

  • @Thrilla2504 I had only watched it when it happened. I haven't seen it since.

  • hehe... JBL cant box.... look at the guy pushin at Bart Gunn.... and Bart Gunn didnt even break a sweat... JBL was like a human punching bag for him. The irony is that Butterbean did the exact same stuff to Brt gn at Wrestlemania

  • u guys are fucken retards if u think this was real..yes most of the WWE BRAWL FOR ALL fights WAS REAL but this one wasnt..i honestly dont remember the reasoning maybe to push for the future butterbean match up who knows but this was CLEARLY staged..

  • @MyPopppp : Well the Butterbean thing wasnt on the cards by that point, by this point they were just trying to get a winner and place the whole incident under the rug for obvious steve williams related reasons. Butterbean was just a bad buisness move later

  • watch the last punch on the first knockdown.it doesnt even connect and he falls like hes ko'ed

  • What year was that ??

  • @sweetscience85 1998

  • for all the kiddies that dont know thats JBL before he was JBL this is just prior before teaming up with farooq (ron simmons) and creating the Acolytes

  • the brawl for all was real listen to jim cornett but this was the biggest failure in pro wrestling LISTEN TO JIM CORNETTE ABOUT THE BRAWL FOR ALL mad funny!

  • gayest boxing match award

  • Blatant work, worst boxing of all time.

  • Dive

  • i wonder if they did these tournaments coz of vince mcmahons grandfather Roderick James "Jess" McMahon being a boxing promoter

  • john had no change in hell

  • Joey Styles can throw a better KO punch on JBL than Bart Gunn.

  • Comment removed

  • JBL got knocked out lmao

  • "I'm no tough guy" 1:43,

    HBK lol.

  • I can watch this over and over. It's always good to see Bradshaw being twatted to the canvas like a bitch.

  • @davide453 When are they gonna post Joey Styles vs Bradshaw

  • @davide453 Absolutely. The Brawl For All was a dumb idea but at least we got this moment out of it.

  • i hate hbk's voice

  • why did the WWE agree to do a legit boxing tournament in the first place.

  • They were trying to push Dr Death but their plans changed when DR Death got KO'ed by Bart. They thought DR death would run over everyone

  • I think a legit tournament every few years could be interesting (to see who the real tough guys are). :)

  • The original knockdown was either a forearm or an elbow. They should have stopped the fight and rescheduled, because Bradshaw was done at that point. Based on technique, though, I doubt it would have mattered.

  • This is was not planned, I should know I'm mikes son

  • big show and akebono was a work as well

  • Bart is a badd son of a gunn!!

  • Those was the good times of JBL when he was a hero

  • This should be shortened to a four second clip, the first the look of intimidation JBL is giving Bart, cut to Bart not intimidated at all, final cut to the look of shot on JBL's face after being knocked down.

  • If im correct is this like the only time in wrestling history a fight was REAL and not predetermined?

  • The only time it was planned on being real.

  • nope, there was big shows match against that sumo wrestler.

  • This was not a work.

If it was a work everyone would have dived for Dr. Death.

  • Heard Bart Gunn talk about it in a shoot interview

  • It was not a work at all, if it was a work why on earth make Bart Gunn of all people a champ?

  • JBL KTFO!!!

  • 0:24

  • John Layfield has no idea how to fight. All he's got is size and tenacity. Fuckin' ham and egger.

  • LOL yeh thats true....but he did make it to the finals

  • Youtube needs more Brawl For All matches!

  • I always hoped that these guys would hook up as a tag team with a new blackjack or cowboy team. They're both talented and cool!!

  • who would favor dr.death over severn?

  • Why would half the WWE locker room let JBL bully them for years, he couldn't fight sleep

  • harf12345... youre gay

  • this great they should put the undertaker imagen taker getting trowen around

  • Holy Shit

  • This was really a stupid idea. A lot of people could have gotten really hurt by this tournament.

  • lol naw this was a great idea!!! lol the tough guy contest

  • it was completely voluntary

  • If you really were sorry you wouldn't post this bullshit you asshole.

  • to all the people he think all wrestling is FAKE. 2 words "SUCK IT" this is as real as fighting sports gets!

  • this isnt wrestling genius, its boxing

  • excuse dick head! WWE = world WRESTLING entertainment! nice1 dumb cunt !

  • It was boxing/shoot fights bub, and not the WWE the WWF ;) . But now that we are taking back all the mean things we said, you should realize this brawl for all was real bad for the than WWF, it says blackman, animal, and savio vega all legitimatly were hurt which isn't exactley good for storyline.

And the fact that it was all set up to make Dr. Death look tough which was his life long gimmick and he got KO'd in the 2nd round of the tourney. Enter Butterbean.

XFL,i mean XBA type flop idea!

  • It's a shame that the WWF got overconfident in Bart's abilities. This should have been a major stepping stone for Bart Gunn.

  • It was. After this tournament every promoter in Japan wanted to book Bart Gunn. After his WWF career ended he went on to make a bucketload of money overseas.

  • Fair point, but I meant more in the US. It seems rather unjust that Billy became the more well-known Gunn for fans on this side of the ocean.

  • left hook

  • not abd by Bart Gunn.. Bradshaw is one tough stud so thats a real feather in the cap for Gunn..

  • apparently not - he's been knocked out by Joey Styles on a night out before...

  • yeah when he was so drunk he more or less couldnt stand.

  • KO BABY!!!!!!!!

  • Wish Blackman hadn't gotten injured and Severn hadn't withdrawed. Would have really liked to see those two in the finals.

  • This fight permanently damaged Bradshaw's rep as a leg tough guy. Even Doc Death Steve Williams career ended in this tournament. I wonder y the WWE gave Bart Gunn such a raw deal following his domination of this tournament.

  • Uh, Steve Williams' career still isn't over.

  • Bart Gunn wasn't supposed to win. They wanted Dr Death to win and give him a big push but seeing as it was a shoot tournament they couldn't control the outcome. Bart Gunn was never heard of after the pasting from Butterbean at WM XV and the WWF never repeated such a tournament.

  • this rep and Joey Styles punching him out on a plane defenitly ruined JBL as a tough guy...or maybe cowardly attacking Blue Meanie as well by going after a guy with staples in his head

  • This match was thrown/staged/whatever. Certain matches in the tourney were done that way because they wanted certain guys to advance, but when Gunn legit KOed Steve Williams (for whom the tourney was meant to set-up for a main event push) they decided to go with it and put Gunn over.

  • Some matches being staged but this one was legit. Gunns match with Bob Holly was predetermined by Holly and Gunn themselves. Holly knew he couldn't win and asked Gunn to take it easy and he let him win. Also Marc Mero and Bradshaws was fixed too. It wasn't known to Mero that the ref was under orders not to let a smaller wrestler win. This was evident when the ref called for a break and Bradshaw performed a takedown illegally and it counted. Those two were staged but the rest were legit.

  • Takedowns were legal, son.

  • @cmitchz what makes this funny is that this was an idea pushed by Vince Russo, it ended up injuring Steve Williams, The Godfather and costing the WWE 8 million dollars.

  • @cmitchz Former WWF announcer/current ROH interviewer Kevin Kelly said that the entire tournament was a shoot. The only bout that he believes may have been thrown was Bart vs Butterbean at Mania. According to Kevin Kelly, he was such a strong guy and conditioned for boxing, he should have at least lasted the whole bout.

  • @michaelisajerk According to Jim Cornette, it was a stupid shoot tournament with guys not prepare for a real tournament but with guys prepare for entertainment. That Gunn had some preparation in martial art and boxing...

Seeing the result, it is lucky that Dan Severn was not present...

  • @therrydicule That sounds accurate. Most of these guys like Mero and Blackman have been training for sports entertainment, and may have been years since they trained for any style of shoot. And yes, it's a good thing that Severn backed out; If he lost to any of the wrestlers, it would have tarnished his MMA career. The only one that may have been "ready" was Mike Barton because he was a natural fighter and a legit tough guy. If Mike won at Mania--a big "if"--he would have had a huge push.

  • @michaelisajerk Well, if you look at the roster of the tournament... A guy like Severn would have losed to whom? He would have had The Godfather to start with, eater 8-Ball or Scorpio, than Bart Gunn/Mike Barton and than Bradshaw (or anybody else). The only risky one was Bart Gunn/Mike Barton (same guy).

What I think is, if they wanted a boxer for their show... Sign David Reid (that 1998) and give him that push with worked shoot. Also, take off Dr. Death from there...

  • @therrydicule It's hard to predict. I sure wasn't betting on Mike in this tournament. A lot of these guys were strikers, and unless Severn could take them down a significant number of times and avoid getting hit, he risked losing via KO. Even if Severn won, if a wrestler took him to the distance, the MMA journalists would talk shit. The tournament was not beneficial, and he would prove nothing if he won anyways. It was certainly more beneficial to Mike or JBL or some of the midcarders.

  • @michaelisajerk I know... But Severn had a contract with WWF at that time, a contract that been no use whatsoever (but it was not the right way to use him: I agree on that).

I even wonder why doing that? You know: Blackman, Road Warrior Hawk and Vega were unable to work for a while. Losing Steve William and Carl Ouellet because... Who remember them? Using Scorpio to replace Ken Shamrock?... WTF? Shamrock will made sens...

And "kill" the WWF career of Gunn by giving him a shoot at Butterbean!

  • @therrydicule You have to remember that UFC was very different at the time. They did not have the buyrates they have today. Severn was making a TON of money in the WWF compared to UFC, even as a midcarder. Severn was in a win-win situation signing in the WWF.

The tournament was strange and it was what it was. But we have to give it to them for trying something new. I agree the shoot with Butterbean was a bad idea--but they had everything to gain (and a big if) if Mike won.

  • @cmitchz thats a load of bullshit the whole thing was a unstaged it was a shoot watch the jim cornett e interviewon here

  • @cmitchz if you think that was fake, then you're a retard

  • @lfd0311

lol wwf and all who competed in this admited that this was fake

  • @bero69 ok bro. You've obviously never seen anyone get knocked out before. Theres no faking that. as for the rest of it being faked like you're claiming, watch te fight with butterbean, deffinently not fake

  • @lfd0311

You amuse me big time =)

I know that this match was fake and it was admited by officials and wrestlers so talk bullshit all day if you want

  • @bero69 awesome. You're a total idiot. I boxed for 10 years, I know what it looks like when someone gets blasted in the dome and put to sleep. Watch the fight with butterbean

  • @lfd0311

cool I am boxing for 5 years now and I know how to read articel wrote by wwe officials quiet well ^^

So guess who is the idiot?

  • @lfd0311

and btw I know the fight with bean was real I never said something different

  • @bero69 Are you special needs?

  • man, that was awesome

Joey Styles must have been watching this before he KO'ed JBL himslef

  • Bradshaw is an asswipe and everybody knows it

  • so does he. he stands for it..

  • haha, shawn admitting he's not tough. bradshaw gets ko'd by bart. however, i'd love to see bart and steve blackman go at it...or better yet take em both to japan or wwe and i'd love to manage those two as a tag team. bart/blackman would be deadly.

  • Dag, Bradsaw you got knocked the F out!

  • I love Pro-Wrestling!

  • The old (Rock and Stone Cold days) Pro-Wrestling, not today's.

  • great to see pro wrestlers going at each other in real fights - not scripted - not sanctioned - i would love to see some of them fighting each other in the ufc - that would be a real slobberknocker

  • Joey Styles knocked him out in one punch i think Joey styles can wint he brawl for all and knock out butterbean

  • Well, JBL was drunk, not to mention the guy's a complete moron

  • Brawl For All 2008!!!

  • I know the Brawl for ALL was a shoot but this match looks like a work. JBL went down way too easy.

  • This isn't the only time JBL went down this easy. Google it.

  • **there were other times someone knocked his ass out

  • so it must have been a work in the airport too.

  • Good thing you said this; my mind went straight to gay porn =]

  • Bradshaw got what he deserved

  • GOOD! Among my best wwe souvenirs!! I want a 2008 version of this.

  • (contd.) If you want to get someone or something over, you work it so it happens. You don't risk that kind of failure and that kind of exposure of talent that you have use for. It was STUPID!!! Period!
