And you said it yourself, he has two albums that went gold. How many gold albums does Charles have? Asher Roth? Drake? KiD CuDi? ETC. Lupe became a big known name when he did Touch The Sky w/ Kanye and that was in 2005.
Cause if you've been watching Lupe all these years, he's almost Old School. His mixtapes could practically be sold as LPs and each one would go gold. "Overlooked" possibly Platinum.

I don't see what people see in Drake. The best newcomers are Charles Hamilton, B.o.B., Blu, and Asher Roth. Charles Hamilton is still rough around the edges, but he got soul, passion, and heart, putting out like 20 mixtapes in two years, all of the good, most of them great, some of them effin' perfect!
However, Lupe is pretty much a genius, and is already on the level of classics like Nas, Jay-Z, Eminem, and Mos Def. None of the newcomers can touch him yet.

Lupe has been around for quite some time now actually. He used to rap like all these other "gangstas". He did get signed by Epic Records at, I believe, 19 years old with a group. And you said it yourself, he has two albums that went gold. How many gold albums does Charles have? Asher Roth? Drake? KiD CuDi? ETC. Lupe became a big known name when he did Touch The Sky w/ Kanye and that was in 2005.

Are you fucking kidding me? Drake has decent metaphors but his vocabulary is limited. Lupe has the wordplay of god and a limitless vocabulary. Lyrically, next to maybe Immortal Technique or Nas, he's is the BEST story-teller in the game.(Hip Hop Saved My Life, Little Weapons, etc) I haven't seen Drake come anywhere close to him in story telling. I listened to "So Far Gone" the day it came out, it wasn't even a biased opinion.
Besides beats and production, Drake does NOTHING over Lupe.
