  • This song is the only song which is better in the English version as the German one!

  • Somebody know who sings this song?

  • And I used to think that learning Latin wouldn't help my musical viewing!

  • the sound has been warped so it is not exactly in tune... what happened?

  • I have been a fan of Jim Steinman/Meat Loaf since I was a TINY child...I only recently discovered Tanz Der Vampire...When listening to Meat Loaf I had this rock opera in my head and this....I am having the ultimate fangirl moment over all of this. Jim is a GENIUS! My lifetime dream is to at one point or another to sing one of Jim's songs. Hopefully with Meat. That would make my life/career complete.

  • @sorrowofherevil agreed Jim Steinman music is the most amazing I've ever heard he and Meat captured lighting in a bottle.

  • OH THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS!!! I have been trying to find this song for almost 5 years now and just found it today, it's been haunting me.

  • It was on a sims2 animation i just watched it was sad

  • if only they had these vocals and english lyrics with the german choreography . it would then be perfect :)

  • ihhh, des lateinische is in deutsch viiiiel besser ;))

trotzdem, in englisch is des lied auch total gut ;)

  • @ButzeVonKrolock93 Eigentlich ist es ja Latein... xD

  • 3:37

Damit bin ich nicht einverstanden, wo ist dieser geile hohe Ton? >.>

  • I see the musical in Vienna, the dance to this song was amazing i Love it!!!

  • Look for the polish version - the best IMO ^^

  • this singer is amazing!!! I love him :D

  • Ich mag das Lied. :-)

  • No doubt these lyrics are fantastic! :D

But does anyone know why they sing "Dies irae, Kyrie. Libera me, Domine"? I mean, "kyrie" is a greek word among purely latin words. Is there a special reason for this? Or did they just not want to say "domine" twice?

  • I want to play the piano part for this song. Its so epic!

  • i believe the lyric is "No taboos only new sensations"

  • I loved the german version, but I think the english is much better xD

    Thx für uploading^^

  • Face it. There are some things that Europeans can do better than Americans...this is one of those things. American version of the play sucks..:(

  • @DeemBrittyGirl Wasn't this play written by an American?

  • @DeemBrittyGirl The German version is amazing theater, but like German beer, too dark/heavy for American taste. Even Hal Prince has said some shows that work in Europe or NY won't "play in Peoria" or sell CDs/DVDs where the real money is made. If they'd just set to music the movie's tongue-in-cheek treatment rather than do an all out English-style farce, it would have succeeded. I blame the producers for allowing this to be lost in translation and Crawford's manager for letting him do it.

  • in der letzen zeile von den lyrics istn fehler, es müsste heißen "No taboos only new sensations" (: danke fürs uppen! <3

  • Hey, where did you get english for this? I only have the german soundtrack....

  • Who's the singer? PLSSSS answer?

  • @TheFreakyVamp

    Kyle Gordon V---V ^_^

  • @gothangelp3 THANKS!!!!

  • danke!!!! ich liebe leibe liebe TdV!!! wenn ich dir meine adresse geb, mailst du mir dann den englischen soundtrack? den deutschen mit steve barton als krolock von de uraufführung von '97 habe ich. Tauschen?

  • What is the singers name in this version?? I cannot find credits of his name anywhere- He is amazing- I would love to hear more of his vocals....

  • @XOXOAceyOXOX Kyle Gordon

  • @gothangelp3 Thank you :D

  • The Latin Lyrics mean:

On the Day of wrath my lord, free me, master.

On the Day of wrath my lord, give me rest, master.

  • oh, my god! i love this song! very god song! nagyon jó szám!

  • I wish it ended at 7:52. The slow part is the best part. It don't like how it gets fast again.

  • wat does

"Dies irae, Kyrie. Libera me, Domine !

Dies irae, Kyrie. Requiem da, Domine !"

    mean?

  • @BlackenedSoul93 something like "Day of anger, master, set me free, master" kyrie is another word for lord (god) and domine the usual word for master in latin. hope that helped... ;-)

  • Meat Loaf's cover of this is amazing:D

  • It's too soft for vampire in my taste.

I prefer polish version but it's nice. :)

  • I like this version to much, but my favorite is the german with tho original wien cast! It's morover a so intense song...it's great in every language! I love this song!

Thank you verry much for post it! It was wonderful!

  • actually, I'm not believing, that I'm saying this: the best carpe noctem ever is the hungarian!!!

has more POWER in it, more SPIRIT or I don't know, but that's the case.

still like the english version too, but... :)

  • That's soo beautiful! :) I saw that musical 10 years ago and it's still great! :*

But where can I download that song?

  • Thanks a thousand times for sharing this!!!!!!! LOve the musical in German, love it in English! Wonderful!!!

  • I LOVE the english songs! *___*

  • love this musical, but i am realy disapointed of the english versions of ALL songs.

  • I think that the English voices aren't as potent as the ones in German. The lyrics are cool though =)

  • I love this musical

Though i wish there was a better english version!

I love the way it goes from quite "religous classical" to pure evil rock and roll

  • *sigh*

this song is so beautiful and powerful, its like heaven in 8 minutes and 18 seconds. thanks for uploading. <3

  • the second vampire part is really amazing. well in german in oberhausen , the first part sounted better but in english with that singer, the second part sounds much better
