I thought it was quite sad to see a worship song about our Lord Jesus Christ coninually plastered with Jeremy Camp. It seemed to me that Jeremy Camp was being lifted up more than Christ. A.W. Tozer once said that most important thing we need to continually ask ourselves in our everyday lives is "Whos getting the Glory? If Jesus Christ isnt getting the glory (being lifted up) the Holy Spirit is not in it because the purpose of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ" Let me kow wht u think
I understand what you mean. I think we often lift people up when we notice that these people have something we ourselves would also like to own. We do not realise that this is the life of Jesus and give honour to these people. We have to learn to give the honour to Jesus for everything first and not to lift people up on account of her respect with God and the special attention of the public.
I suggest you go read Jeremy's Bio, or meet him in person. I don't judge anyone at all, but before you make conclusions about someone, I'd suggest meeting them before you do. His whole life lifts up Christ, I daresay more than most.
By the way, I personally love this song and I also think, that Jeremy is really anointed. Nevertheless, I give the honour to who is the reason for it: My Lord Jesus! God bless!
