As Linda never wrote her own songs and more known for popularizing others her talent is constantly overlooked. A shame, because she was and continues to be one of the best voices/interpreters in pop.
The "Queen-of-the-love-gone-wrong-song" doing what she does best with Karla Bonoff's glorious, masochistic ballad. Man, can she cut it live - no autotune here, just sheer emotive talent. Go girl!
When I was a child, my parents bought me a record player and a dozen records, this one always stayed in my mind, couldn't remember who the artist was or the song name. Found it now, thank you so much xoxoxo Brings back many many happy memories. :)
@jouharii Well that's one opinion. I happen to like Linda Ronstadt a lot. And since this was recorded in the mid 1970s and Alison was born in 1971 it makes your comment sort of - - - wrong. LOL
I would say around 1976, that is Dan dugmore on electric, waddy watchel on acoustic and looks like Andrew gold on piano, don grolnick replaced him around 78 so this should be earlier. Great music and possibly the greatest female rock voice ever!!!
Linda, I'll always love you for your musicality and that beautiful instrument of a VOICE you possess. Thank God I had the opportunity to see you live three times -- you were as brilliant in 2003 as you were in 1978.
Classic 70s Linda, that voice...I just listened to Trisha Yearwood singing this tune and she did a great job. IMHO she is probably one of the few vocalists today who could do justice to it,
The most underated superstar ever!!!! Voice, looks, style ,popularity etc....WOW

@Firehawk968 Don't forget Kenny Edwards on bass and vocal harmonies. They'd been together since The Stone Poneys in 1967!!

Any Idea when this sung and where at? My guess is somewhere around 1980.

I said it once and I will say it again: her eyes are closed because she is thinking of me.
