was delighted to check back to see if you'd found "Moonglow and Theme from Picnic"! I've been looking for it for years - Thanks, Socrates for finding it!
Well thanks for putting up a song from the year I was born, Walter! I just got the photo updated on my driver's license. Now that I'm old & look like crap they are able to capture my exact likeness! Is this where one says #!*##??!!?
Do you possess all these original albums, Walter? Is your house like a morgue, ummm, I mean a museum of beautiful music? chuck
@chkjns Hi Chuck ! Here, I'd like to quote Rudolf Bing who was an administrator of the Austrian Opera : " We are like a museum. My function is to present old masterpieces in modern frames. " ;-) (Well, there's the "royal" "we" again but.........quotations should always be 'to the letter' so ..... :-))
(And pls don't take the word "function" too serious...) As my former boss used to say when describing his job as CEO = " It's just a hobby of mine" ;-) Take care Chuck.
@Socratess2007 writing to you from Hollywood USA today, Walter! Composer, conductor, producer/arranger Stu Phillips spent an hour & a half with me here yesterday afternoon! He says he's never had a fan like me before. He scored & conducted 12 Hollyridge Strings albums - that's my first playlist right now. He wrote & conducted the themes for Battlestar Gallactica & Knight Rider - he's just a musician who has done everything! It will be one of the most memorable days of my life !!! chuck
@chkjns I envy you Chuck :-) This indeed is an encounter you will remember always. Did you get his autograph/signature ? "Battlestar Galactica" actually is my favourite TV theme of all time - it illustrates the musical genius of Mr Phillips. The Hollyridge Strings albums belong to the best instrumental recordings that were ever recorded. Guess that could make me "the 2nd biggest fan" of him, no ;-)) ?.....
