  • God if they could bottle this and sell it, I'd be a' Seekersholic' in no time! Fantastic stuff. Judith Durham's voice is fantastic-she should be placed on the endangered species list IE A female vocalist who can ACTUALLY SING!

  • Judith Durham is that one in a million that you just help but love just by looking at her and listening to her. She truly is a world treasure.

  • Happy memories from my childhood in the sixties, and just as brillaint now!

  • thank you lord for sending this beautiful angel for us to share we will look after and love her forever.xxx

  • I think there's an angel on that stage. She sounds like one, she's dressed like one and she has a magical way of making me feel completely safe and happy.

  • reminds me of ed strewarts junior choice

  • I shall always be grateful for the fact that i was a teenager in the 60,s. It wasn't all Beatles and Stones. The Beach Boys had their exciting California sounds and close harmony groups like the Seekers were a joy to listen to. To add to that, Elvis and the Everlies were still making great records. Is it any wonder we grew up full of optimism.

  • Such a great group, judiths vocals are still as good. Excellent !

  • Prachtig!

  • God, I love this song. Love this Group. I sang this song every day to my children when they were 3 - 5 to help them go to sleep. Now of course, I sing this to their children who are now 3 - 5. So the cycle completes its circle. Pure, unspoilt, un-commercialized group. Thanks.

  • I can't belive her voice has got even better with age, love her always.

  • What a voice Judith Durham has, love her

  • oh well, tears in my eyes now.thinking of my mum and dad and when i was a little boy.oh how i miss them

  • OMG Im crying I remember this so well ...was my favourite song at age 5!! OMG! I always felt this was my safe song to go to sleep to;...About going on a warm safe snug journey being rocked to sleep by the lulling 'rocking rolling riding' motion of the carriage of a magical train heading for 'Morningtown ...many miles away'!...

Such a lovely nurturing song that bring back these wonderful memories,..I have tears streaming down my face! lol

  • this must be most peoples alltime favourite seekers song, judith looks absolutly stunning and her voice WELL,we all know about that. xxx

  • When I was younger (10 or so years ago) my dad used to sing me this song before I went to sleep. He just reminded me about it today! Haha

  • My father worked on R.R. and he loved this song - I guess it influenced his son! becuase I do as well. This lady has such a lovely, distintive, angelic voice - not unlike the plastic wananbees turned out in the X factory production line today.

  • Only a few groups pick up the pieces so well after so long. The Monkees were one and the Seekers certainly were one.

  • Judith Durham ... we're not worthy!

  • Doesn't that woman ever age? She's still georgeous!

  • Fantastic. What a wonderful voice.

  • They were a bit daggy even in their heyday, but they made such great music with no gimmicks and we all loved them. We Aussies are very proud of them. Sorry, but I can't help saying I think Judith Durham is still a bit of a spunk.

  • heard this song in 1968 whilst in juniour school great then better now thanks for the post

  • greatest group ? but greatest female singer of all time by a mile...her voice brings a tear to my eye.. every time i hear it.

  • @Dillonodeeyx

she is great but no match for her idols Baez and Collins.

  • @taddyd1

    Baez and Collins WHo????

Never heard of anyone called Baez. Did you mean Phill Collins????

  • @oldfugnug No, he meant Joan Baez and Judy Collins. If I remember correctly, Joan Baez sang with Big Brother and the Holding Company.

  • I listened to them in the 60's and still do most everyday. It's different than the crap that''s available now. Anyone who loves this group has to stand in line behind me.

  • Anyone who loves this group has to stand in line behind me. I listened to them in the 60's and still do most everyday. It's different than the crap that's available now.

  • @jekiwez: There is a DVD of this concert but it was made in PAL format....Most US DVD players play only NTSB format...There are some US portable DVD players that play all formats such as the one I purchased and the concert DVD I purchased came all they way from Australia...

  • Love the hair as well. Congrats to you Jane. It's a lot of work, but really worth it. I love her voice and interpretation. Superb performance.

  • super - would love to be riding a train with The Seekers.

  • Nice to see Judith has kept her hair long, not seen too often in someone her age today, I still have my hair long, although I am not as old as her x

  • Still a refreshing voice,

just like the feeling after the bath, so comfortable & happy !

  • Did this ever get put on DVD?

  • @trossachs2003 YES !!!

  • Great song! Great group. Judith Durham

gave the group its distinctive sound just

like Glen Yarbrough did for the Limeliters.

Whatever happened to the young folks who

loved folk music and wanted a world of love

    and peace and scented candles?

Guess we just all got old.

    Tx 4 the post.

  • You know. You could make that case. At the very least they are one of the top tier groups of the pop music era. No credible argument to oppose that...
