I'm not an expert in this field, but I think that the first things that influence the life of an individual are the environment where they were born and raised and the studies. If you were born and raised in a slum and you don't go to school, you are pretty much doomed. It's gonna be 10 times as hard for you to acomplish what the others get almost for free. And it's for life.
