Usually all three races speak their own language within their community.. When different race of people meet up, we usually speak English or Malay.. We are exposed to many languages and dialects (Cantonese, Hokkien and some others) because we don't dubbed movie into our own language.. Just subtitles.. If you watch a movie in Malaysian Cinema.. Usually you will realize that the subtitles are in more than 1 language..

We normally call ourselves Malaysian Chinese, to separate from Taiwanese and Chinese from China. Our entertainment market is very limited, that's why many talented singers/actors/song producers have to debut in other places (mostly Taiwan, Hong Kong or China). You may know Michelle Yeoh 杨紫琼, she is in one of the James Bond movies.

He should get famous way earlier bcos most of his best songs are when he was in the group 光良品冠 （无印良品）, which was years ago。He always have songs with wonderful rythm and superb lyrics that can touch people's hearts. Well, you will only understand his lyrics after you get into a serious relationship, that's how good the lyrics are
