Nice video, but I didn't see your wingie in the latter part. I would like to see how a four ship formation landing is done. Then again, I can't find any two ship landings either.
That is an "admin" formation. In combat, the aircraft "kickout" far enough to remain in visual range, but not so close to appear as a giant "blip" on the enemies radar.
@eggthetireshop For most air forces the height limit is about 6.5 for fighter pilots. I don't have the specifics for the Canadian Forces, those are the specs for USAF.
@freedomintheskies right until final approach, when the field of view passed over the pilot up front, i was under the impression that you were both the pilot flying, as well as a superhuman for being able to formate and land with one hand haha.
@loko450a there are 2 versions the CF-18A (single seat) and the CF-18B (two-seat trainer). Watch the video below of a civilian riding in the backseat of an F-18B its pretty funny
to add to that, its hard to see everything around you in a fighter jet, by having four eyes in the air your more likely to see an enemy coming than if its just a solo fighter.

Never that tight in combat. Unless you took the video, then I don't need to tell you that haha.

If this is your video (which i looks to be,) what brought you down to what looks to be NAF El Centro?
aaron8862006 3 years ago
Our annua fall deployment. The weather in El Centro is much better than at home, so more missions are able to be flown. Thanks for the comments!
