  • A fine automobile!! ;-D

  • @jjhendo thank you.

  • Nothing like the sound of a Ford small block through Flowmasters! =)

  • Is this a roller block or flat tappet, and has it been bored over?

  • @cooperray76 flat tappet, 30 over.

  • I just got me a 2002 GT, I have to wait til i move to cali to get my 65 early next year i cant wait!! lol

  • Its so nice!! Cant wait til i get mines!!

  • @JDroopXI thanks JDroopXI, you got a stang on the way?

  • The only thing I would consider doing to this Pony if were mine changing the rims for some torque thrust its still a nice car with the rims it has though

  • i love the torque thrust too, but everybody has them, so i went with something different.

  • thanks behn7

  • I'd fuck it

  • nice mustang dude!

  • thanks zoddie.

  • i normally dont like the coupes, but this is VERY nice!!!!

  • thanks BeboAltizer.

  • The Mustang dyno is more accurate than the Dynojet which gives some "generous" numbers. Sold my car as we are losing our track in 2 months. Sad, but true. The car culture here is dying.

  • whats with the rims

  • Saw your dyno run. Was it a Mustang dyno or a dynojet? My 66 made 282 rwh using the AFR 165 heads, Magnum 280H cam, 10:1 comp. on the Mustang dyno. At our track with 3400 feet or worse for air, it ran 12.7 @ 107mph with a 4:11 gear. Enjoy your sweet ride.

  • its a mustang dyno. thanks for the compliment. your stang must be sweet too. i've now put a 4:50 gear in . i know that is an odd ball ratio but i got it from a nascar team. it only had dyno time on the ring and pinion. cya later

  • Ever run it at the track?

  • nope, not yet. just cruising round town and going to local car shows so far. maybe this fall, i can take it to a track.

  • Nice.... i have 2 641/2 mustang but its a lot of money to fix them but someday my cars will be in the street

  • thanks yzrider, and good luck on the projects. you are right about the money...

    Thanks for replying,

I noticed you said a 7" rim on front would be fine is it still the 4.75 backspace.

Your 65 is one tough looking s.o.b.!

very nice job on the pony!!

  • thanks for the compliment tucker

  • svo65,

I recently started a 65 project 289 4-spd coupe I love your car and my quest for wheels and tire combo has ended thanks to your information on your combination plus I know what they will look like

My question: What hood are you using and where did you get it

    Thanks

  • IS THAT CANDY APPLE?

  • base,clear code x vintage burgundy.

  • 67 shelby style, several companies sell this hood, national parts depot, and mustangs unlimited are two that do. my hood is an old one that doesn't have the metal frame allowing the use of hinges and i have to use 4 pins, which is a hassle but it's working for now.

  • She's a beaut, and sounds AWESOME!!

  • thank you bren. it was idling alittle fast that day. close to 1600. should be, and now is, idling at 1000 rpm.

  • glad you made it home ok! hope the other 'pony' made it fine as well. it good to see you and sharon! hurry back soon!! aunt & uncle b

  • if i had any idea who bren was .....i would have said hello, now i know and guess i should have duhhhhh. yea, the trip was good. got the other pony home safe. another project... maybe. but it sure will cost alot!!!! time will tell. cya later and take care.
