  • I love how Wes can make something so simple as walking so beautiful.

  • VERY GOOD MOVIE AND SONG

  • This song makes me miss Indian train journeys. Success! Gotta run to the nearest grocer and grab some Uncle Chipps, Limca and apple-flavored aloe vera beverage.

  • @xXxKKRINGLExXx haha! yes! don't forget your mazza or your masala ruffles ;)

  • nicely done! :)

  • After watching this masterpiece, I grabbed the most colourful suitcase I had and a big pair of shades. I headed east on the next train.

  • @LOAMagic314 ...

  • amazing. I love how a recurring theme in Anderson movies is desperate, dysfunctional people (the state of people in general?) who mean well and eventually redeem themselves.

  • almost the entire video is of four clipsof slowmo shots, and then you used 3 second clips from 5 other scenes. this looks like a silent movie dude. there's like no relation to the story of the movie at all.

  • Love how the guitar rhythm emulates the the sound of a chugging train

  • i like this video, well done! shut your noise SleepingForPeace! gLASGOWX

  • 1:00 IS THE BEST SCENE IN THIS MOVIE

  • any1 noticed that jack dosnt wear shoes

  • We are not two, we are one (:

  • Hahaha. Second best part of the movie here, when Jason Schwartzman mistakenly throws the flowers. By the way, the best part is when Adrian Brody does that old man Jewish Dance on top of the mountin when the train breaks down.

    THANK YOU!!!

  • sometimes i put on this movie just to watch the scene that this song is in...perfect fit

  • sooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful!!!

  • wes anderson is amazing it dosnt matter that his movies are not super big box office hits because he makes films that matter to him and can connect with people that are open to them its a beautiful film.

  • The fact that he doesnt make super block busters makes me like and appreciate his work even more. From Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Steve Zissou and Royal Tennenbaums further deepens his mark on the film industry. I love his style and way of telling small, great, and thoughtful films while blending in a little stop motion animation from time to time. Example, the sugar crabs. Haha Wes and his cinematographer Robert Yeoman are masters.

  • @TemplarReturns

And the movie Beautiful Flowers. Check that one out.

  • @ziengitmd, Looked at IMDB for title "Beautiful Flowers." Found nothing.

  • holy man and holy priest

this love of life makes me weak at my knees

  • Excellent movie. I also, wanted it to go on and on. I feel there is lots more "story" to be told here.

  • yes, me too....i actually want to write to wes anderson & tell him to make a sequel, i hope he does..its such an amazing inspiring film

  • That is a good idea. If he had the funding, he may consider making a sequel as this movie has strong appeal those who understood and enjoyed it.

  • whatever film he makes next, i hope its in the same style like his previous films. They are so refreshing, unconventional hollywood films that has a european mood to it. lets hope he gets the funding.

  • I also loved "The Royal Tenenbaum's". I too like his "non typical Hollywood" movies. They're funny and quirky and you can't tell what will happen next. I love to watch Adrien Brody's face in the scene where Owen Wilson is unwrapping his bandages. The 3 brothers are all standing before a mirror watching him. Adrien's facial expressions are priceless!

  • i liked the RT & the Life aquatic of steve zisso. His films offer a new fresh angle & they are not pretentious. Actually, the 3 of them & their expressions were priceless, especially at the end with anjelica huston in their silent moment, it was so beautiful one could cry. owen wilson did have the strangest lines out of the 3.

  • Yes, Owen Wilson was definitely the most affected by their mother's rejection. I always enjoy Angelica's performances. I haven't seen the Life Aquatic. Is it good?

  • I only watched it once but yes, it is good. Not as good perhaps as the darjeeling limited but still nice to see. To give you an idea, im not a bill murray fan & i enjoyed it!!. I really want to see it again.

  • Have you ever seen "The Razor's Edge" with Bill Murray? I believe it was written by Somerset Maugham and it's a very good philosophical movie about life, how it should be lived, what is of true value, etc. Sounds heavy but it's done in an intrieging way.

  • Different like this one, but totally loved it. You should give it a try :)

  • Life Aquatic is a great piece of work. Your going to love Bill Murray's quirky sarcasm and Willem Defoe's self righteousness mixed in with nautical comedy. lol He makes me laugh just thinking about his character.

  • One touching moment that almost always brings me to tears is the sub scene in Life Aquatic, where Bill Murray's character says, " I wonder if he remembers me.", then gets teary eyed but his friends and colleagues put their hands on his shoulders as if saying, "You matter to us."

  • Wes got some bad reviews for this film,This got to me because its such a powerfully beautiful film and rings true to my family (to a certain degree)

I believe its his best to date but lets hope its not his high water mark.

  • which proves that critics are pompous idiots most of the time & that one should see the cast & the director, get to know whats the story about & decide for himself.

  • my heart goes out to you sean sean sean. Angst is a woeful burden

  • This is a special Dave Davies song - written and sung by Dave.

In his book "Kink" he says. "... it´s about friendship, reconciliation and unconditional love. ......."

    It`s perfect, I think.

  • i hate how im the only one in my family who enjoys this movie, and when i try to explain to them why its so beautiful, they just dont understand

  • I was very sad when the movie ended...i just wanted it to go on..&...on...,, such an immersive movie..;

  • this is my alltime fav movie i have watched it many times and i cant get enough of it, some of the scenes of this movie just bloww my mind

  • The Darjeeling Limited: my favorite film directed by Wes Anderson, my favorite film set in India, my 4th favorite film of all time.

  • top movie, and one of the most under-rated kinks tracks ever. Good on ya, Anderson...

  • This is a brilliant movie. It had me in hysterics and it had me sobbing, an all round exellent film!

  • This is one of my favorite Wes Anderson Movies.

    and I love this song!

  • Nice choice ! This track.

  • love the movie, love the song. great video!! :)

  • you should have made this exactly like the song appears in the movie

  • I could have, but in the video they use a shorter version of the song so I had to add some footage to make up the difference.

  • Trust me man, theres always someone not happy. This is awesome!

  • This was a great tribute. It kept with the story, and the mood--something that can be quite difficult. NearNothing, you should really consider a career in film editing. Great job.

  • This was a great movie. I enjoyed every bit of it. It's one of those movies that is full of 2nd meanings and wimzy tidbits, plus it has an original story-line.

  • perfect movie .... excellent video

  • this was a good movie. and strangers is my favorite kinks song!

  • Such a beautifully subtle movie but so much to say. Loved it!

  • I so love this movie because of it's sweet brother relationship this movie has.

  • SUCH a brilliant movie and such a beautiful song. Ahhhh.

  • Beautiful photage in this movie, love it!

Note that in the funeral scene, they wear their sleepwear, a funny and great detail!

  • i love this movie and i love this song. i went to india and i traveled on a very similar train, they represented the country extremely well.

  • BEST MOVIE IN THE WORLD

  • Film qui nous transporte de la salle de cinéma à l'Inde...

    Et j'aime ces chansons.

  • I love the movie - I love the songs...

these Kinks songs are the perfect choise for that great mood in the movie

  • I love this film, and song. When the brothers toss their luggage away at the end it is a message that if we carry our baggage for too long we will be doomed to make the same mistakes our parents have made.

  • brilliant, just brilliant..

  • I have a feeling that Wes Anderson chose to play three songs from the Kinks in this movie for a reason. Two band members of the Kinks, Ray and Dave Davies, were brothers, and offstage, the two of them conflicted a lot. They even got in a fight during one of their performances. Anyways, the fact that Ray and Dave did not get along relates to this movie, for the brothers in this movie fought quite frequently as well. Maybe I'm wrong, but I personally think that's why Wes used Kinks music.

  • They're also from the same album, and are badass. This time Tomorrow is great for that scene... I don't I've ever seen a song that fit so well with what was on screen.

  • I had not really thought about that, NodakDN, but I agree with you. I don't listen to the Kinks a lot anymore, but hearing those songs again while watching this movie I was honestly surprised at how great they still sound. They were somehow just right for the film, too. I think you figured out at least part of the reason why.

  • The song is incredible and so is the movie beacuse of its meaningful message that it tries to portray. about brothers.

  • What great movie is it!!

  • the kinks fucking rule.

  • your right on how india was just a place and how it didnt really affect the plot. nonetheless it is still a great movie.

  • three non natives of india who are obviously city folk in india is an interesting idea. there presence starts off the movie. you know?

  • you suck

  • I think you didn't understand the movie. It's not about India, but about the characters (just like any other movie of Wes Anderson). Inacdcwetrust hits the nail: India was just a place and didn't affect the plot. It could've happened in Spain for example, or China. If you like his work, than why didn't you see it in The Life Aquatic or Rushmore?

  • yeah i agree...the movie wasn't ABOUT India.

  • I Love this Movie, I love this Song, I love this video !!!!!!

Merci NearNothing !!! Thanks NearNothing !!!!

  • really good movie

  • This movie was preetttyy awesome as well as Strangers the song of course. Wes anderson always makes me happy/

  • Thank you so much. 93, 5 stars and counting. Lets keep this going as along as we can. Just waiting on Wes' next epic film.

  • Favorite part is in the very beginning, when Bill Murray gets cut off and you dont see him for the rest of the entire movie except that scene with all these random people on the train.

  • I love this movie. Strangely it's not for the plot.

I love it because Wes Anderson's stamp on it. The slo-mo stuff is amazing, especially in the village on their way too the funeral. That is such an epic couple of frames. Oh, and not to mention the soundtrack. Who doesn't love the kinks?

  • this movie was great

  • I love this movie, please everybody go rent this movie cuz' it worth it!

  • I love Wes Anderson the signature slo-mo and obscure zooms. One of my favorite movies.

  • Very nice, good job. I love this film, and yeah, Wes Anderson rocks.

  • Great movie!!I watched it yesterday and I was enraptured.

  • is this song by the kinks aswell?

  • Yes. It's called strangers.

    Greay soundtrack, Eh?

  • Why yes it is. Same album as Strangers, also on this soundtrack.

  • yep
