  • First time I went I wore Jeans and no gloves...But in my defence I had just moved from Florida to Minnesota

  • is his name: Matt Vince Anus?

  • i thought he said up to your shit

  • @aliahaliah more like mat van penis

  • ladies if you are watching this... the appropriate attire is NOTHING

  • teeshirt, hoodie, bball jersey, shell. your sexy now

  • Hi my name is matts vast anus

  • @fullbandosftw098 lol, to me it sounded more like mat vans anus

  • @aliahaliah more like matt van penis!

  • What kind of snowpants are those?

  • helmet how you talk?? snowboard

  • I thought he said my name is ______ big anus haha!!

  • after several conclusions, ive come to the conclusion, this video is worthless. wear what you wear and if it doesnt work for you, fix it.

  • Tall Tees Mofo

  • WOW, what a nice way to end a tutorial

  • I wear my sly equipment paintball pants lmao.

  • Are flannel pajama pants alright??

  • @Klimessss I wear em, they're pretty sick!

  • @Cmakka321

yee yee, well, it's kinda too late now xD seeing how it's summer and all ;D

But I wore flannels whenver I went to the hills this year, underneath my snow pants of course, really worked well! Everyone thought it was my underwear when I took my snowpants off -.-

  • @Klimessss haha, nice work!

  • if ur a good snowboarder u were like a tshirt and a jacket becuse if ur doing tricks u get hot

  • After some research, I've come to the conclusion:

    (inner to outer)

    Underarmour

    Thermal/ fleece/wool longsleeve OR

Just cut straight to the fleece jacket

    And then water-proof jacket

If it's super hott, simply underarmour from Head-to-Toe and your water-proof layer

  • Im riding in a normal ski place in Sweden, so i cant go offpist, i really love to go offpist thats oohh iii looove it! But, when im going to offpist in normal ski mountains then its bad offpist, its like in the woods with alot of tree and rocks, today i was planning to jump over a pipe but i failed and i was railing at it instead, and the screw or however it spells risted up my board.. ahh ! and then i falled and hurted myself in a big jump,Then risted up my brothers jacket. Bad day of skiing.

  • his sessions dont get sick

  • thats way too hot :P

  • Haha 0:48 mid shit

  • dude, did he just say that a regular tee shirt should be your bottom layer for your top?

Last I checked, regular tee shirts are all cotton and cotton absorbs moisture. Pretty much the opposite of what you want to happen.

Most important thing really is just to get moisture wicking gear made for snowboarding or skiing.

  • for sure under armor seemed like a good idea to me while my shirt was all wet from sweating.

  • ExpertVillage just makes terrible instructional snowboard videos... The problem is not only is a lot of their advice not very helpful, but often, like in this video, it's just downright wrong.

  • yea man ur right apparently t shirts are really bad as a base layer, i wear i really thin thermal layer then he t shirt, u dont feel the thermal layer but if and wen you faceplant or fall in powder it stops your skin being wet, also removes sweat.

  • even some thermal layers are not necessarily moisture wicking. Pretty much anything made by a skiing or snowboarding company will be though. A cotton tee shirt should never come into the picture in my opinion. Cotton is your enemy while on the mountain. Maybe it's just because I live in Vermont where it gets balls cold in the winter sometimes so you really want to focus on layering. Much easier to enjoy yourself while comfortably dressed.

  • what about t shirts sold by snowboarding companies, im a big supporter of layering but what else could you put between thermals and outer layers? any tips would be greatly appriciated,

  • If it's made out of cotton, I would say "do not wear it on the mountain!" At the very least abide by this rule: no cotton should be in immediate contact with your body (that includes socks). So if you wear a cotton tee shirt on top of 2 other layers of moisture wicking shirts, you might be ok. Between thermals and outer layers you can wear moisture wicking shirts, fleeces, or more thermals.

  • on a really really cold day this is how i usually layer:

    a) spandex type, tight fitting, warm base layer (top and bottom)

    b) thermal shirt and pants (I believe one of my thermal shirts is partially cotton but it is designed to wick away moisture so it's good and very warm)

    c) if needed, another moisture wicking shirt

    d) a fleece

    c) my jacket

that's a lot of layers and really designed for really cold days. I'd always rather have to take off a layer than be too cold.

    hope this helps.

  • it does cheers dude.

  • the guy on the left looks pretty dope at 0:23

  • i end up taking half my layers off after the secon time up the mountain i get to hot

  • Americans...

  • are the shiiiit

  • isnt this fucking obvious lol

  • lmfao u barley need a jacket just bring a 3 layer shirt wit hoody

and then get skiing goggles then lastly money and a skateboard

  • that pretty much entirely depends on where you live...

    brilliant comment.

go snowboarding in Alaska in the winter or even here in VT and tell me "lmfao u barley need a jacket"

  • i had an insulated shitty jacket but i got a nice special blend snowboarding jacket thats waterproof and looks sick but it has no insulation so im gonna wear layers under it, does any1 know if this is a bad idea and if i should get an insulated jacket?

  • no its a good idea

  • no need for insulation in your jacket if you layer well. Most important is that our jacket is water and wind proof. The real warmth your body needs comes from NOT following this video's advice and layering PROPERLY. Keeping yourself dry is KEY to keeping yourself warm.

  • well i just got rlly nice insulated jacket rlly cheap cuz it was on clearance at a ski shop so if im going to a real mountain ill be good

  • i feel like a tool for watching this...

  • man its just fuckng easy...you take a normal rain-jacket a good snow pant good boots(my foot never get cold! i have burtons jeremy jones and they fit very good and i just wear one pair thick socks und them) then may long underwear(depends on how cold it is) and then sweatshirt and tshirt(last time i boarded it was so warm i could board in tshirt and sweatshirt and nothing more)

    little list:

    -jacket(waterproof)

    -snow pants

    -good boots

    -goggles

-the other stuff i think you dont nedd to buy ;D

  • thick socks are rarely a good idea when snowboarding though. You should really use thin, moisture wicking socks designed for snowboarding or skiing. Also just make sure that your layers aren't all 100% cotton

  • An Insight To WOW Gold Ads Spamming ! Belrion88

  • Im new to snowboard, am going to Killington this weekend. I got a Burton jacket, returned it after I saw a Sims Inferno jacket

somewhere else. Got wool, breathable sports socks. Sims snowboard pants. Hat with pull down Balaclava. Should I get goggles people? What about layers? Anything that's a must that I'm missing? Thanks for the advice in advance.

  • depends on the temp

if its warm enough glasses will be enough

but when its colder goggles are a must

if your snowboarding your feet shouldn't get to cold unless your boots fit you terribly

  • Comment removed

  • no they don't

  • its better when you snowboard naked!

  • LMFAO!...

i agree at least people will cheer xD

  • i bet that guy in the flannel feals really stupid.

  • lol agreed

  • Comment removed

  • this guy doesnt know whats up. flannels all the time

  • true say

  • jeste klosari

mozes nesto samo skontat mamu ti jebem glupu

  • Cool goggles

  • Can you rent snowboarding boots or do you have to buy them because I'm going snowboarding this Monday and I need to find out because if we have to buy them were not gonna go

  • the best thing is call to the area you're going, and ask if they do rent out snowboards most of the time they say yes.

  • As far as I know, the boots should be rented with the board. Check the area's website and see what they say. Have fun!

  • lol do you go to burkemont

  • what should i wear under my snowboard pants?

  • I just went snowboarding in Ohio today. It was -4 wind chill. So I wore some sweatpants under my snowboard pants with socks that go to my knees.

  • thanks. what if it's like 23degrees? not as cold. should i still wear sweats under?

  • Probably... I've only been in California so its generally been in the 40's and up and a person gets pretty warm, but I would wear something underneath since you won't be boarding the whole time - there'll also be rides on the lift.

  • Had a difficult time figuring if i was normal or goofy. If someone where to push me i would lead with my right leg which they say it means i'm goofy. However, on a skateboard, I'm normal. This common?

  • Im similar to you I wasn't sure either, in snowboarding though you need to learn to do both ways, so just practice on both if you can, it ll make you a much better boarder.

  • Fairly so.. I've heard of a few people who are the same way.

  • uhh....wearing tshirts is the worst idea ever. cotton traps moisture and makes you colder.

  • i wonder what that water proof jackets for...

  • for water proofing

  • should i buy a helmet or just stick to a hat and goggles when i snowboard?

  • If you're a beginner, or maybe if you ride double black diamond, then use a helmet. But I prefer a hat because it looks cool with the goggles lol.

  • Thanks for the tips man. I used to snowboard when I lived in North Carolina, but I moved to Florida and haven't snowboarded in 4 years, so can you tell me what kind of snowboard, bindings, and boots to get? I am just asking because I am to Vermont on the 20th and need to get more equipment before I go.

  • I'd rather like to know what lenght, if the ski trousers are ok.

  • The length that fits you...

  • his jacket is gay

  • Dress cool!

    Best trick ever!

  • when me and my friend went snowboarding in nz we just wore thermal tops & snowboarding pants. it was hell hot though... & we where boarding on ice - not so fun.

  • You need to wear a tall tee or you will have no steez

  • if you want to look like a fag, wear a tall tee like burtonboarder540

  • it looks like he has some thing tied around his knees. what is that?

  • Safety strap.. for not loosing your board when your on the lift and not snap someone's neck :p

  • the noob strap.. for those who cant hold their board

  • Indeed, there you said it :D

  • It might be a noob strap, but thank god it's there XD I prefer that then dodging boards without a boarder coming down the slope XD

  • noob strap? Its a security measure. I spent to much on my board to have it slip once and get totaled or lost. Am i an a noob for having car insurance too? Idiot

  • i'm boarding since 9 years and i never lost my board... if you are not completely dumb you can manage to HOLD your board without that strap and i know a lot of friends who are real professional boarders and noone uses that strap. if you need a strap, use it. but you cant compare it to a car insurance ;) cheers

  • The guy in the red jacket has the same board as me! XD It's Millenium 3...M3!!! lol is that a good board? what do you guys think?

  • He forgot to mention to wear purple/green/orange... You know, whatever.

    VERY IMPORTANT.

  • Nah... My jackets and pants are much more baggier >:D

    I like it baggy :)

    -- DGC

  • most importantly..... DO NOT COTTON AS A FIRST LAYER..... it will soak in all the wetness when you sweatt and the when you chill for a minute and cool do you will freeze and you body will struggle to re heat it self... it will be like wearing a wet towell in the cold..

DONT WEAR COTTON AS A FIRST LAYER PEOPLE... it will suck...

wear some thing like polyester, or wool, fleece,... youll be happy!

  • lol same shit happened to me... i wore a burton hoodie under a hoodie... and i got covered in snow then went inside the lounge i was wet went back outside i was ice

  • Ever seen people snowboard in blue jeans? lol

  • Yes lol i´ve tried, cold as fuck XD

  • Where you board at?

  • Why would you snowboard in JEANS??? I see people do it all the time, why do they do that?

  • There are also snowboard pants that actually look like jeans ... a friend used to wear them

  • yeahh jeans are a NONO!

  • because they're too cheap to buy real ski/board pants and end up miserable by the end of the day. they're the same guys wearing leather jackets and six pairs of socks.

  • @mavrockk7 hell yes that was a big mistake for me last year i wente snowboarding and wore a normal cotton shirt and i got really cold so now i learned to use under armour
