Yeah. Jess Jackson is against the use of steroids so he told the trainers of his horses they'd be fired if any of his horses tested positive. Not sure when his trainers started him, but he got taken off in January 2008 as steroids are illegal in Dubai. And then he proceeded to demolish the field (:

Curlin faced much, much tougher horses in tougher races around the country and Dubai World Cup. Although Zenyatta ran the majority of races in Cali but she won at Oaklawn Park and capped off a remarkable undefeated season.. so it will be very close soooo... ???? Curlin.

Curlin should get if Zenyatta would have raced in the Classic or raced against the boys then she should deserve it but she did not get it. Also true surface is the dirt not the synthetic crud.
Awesome video! These 2 are both deserving horses, but I hope Zenny gets it. (No offense to Curlin. I love him to death but how can you compete with Zenyatta? She's perfect!)
no doubt zenyatta deserves the title more than curlin. even big brown deserves it more than last year HOTY. Zenyatta faced great fillies and mares such as Cocoa Beach, Music Note, Hystericalady, Ginger Punch & Carriage Trail. Since last year classic curlin faced low level horses, such as Wanderin Boy, or Past the Point. He had three tests this year (going to Dubai, winning on turf & winning on synthetic surfaces). He only achieved one, Dubai. All his other achieves this year ar meanless.
Though I know he will nto get it, it is cruel to leave Big Brown out. He has won 4 GI's, and has completely dominated the three year olds. And has won on two surfaces. Something Curlin failed to do
I don't like how people are COMPLETLY ruling out Big Brown. Didn't he make history numerous times? He lost one start! Why is it that people are overlooking the greatness and mark he left on horse racing? Frankly I think he did more than Curlin this year,I know many disagree. If you really think about it Big Brown deserves a spot to at least run,if not win HOY. If people must be that ignorant though, I'd have to side with Zenyatta for HOY.

Curlin is one of my favorites but when faced with a real challenge, he didn't step up. Doesn't mean I dislike him though.
