m a pakistani n i luv cricket..n i jus luv zim..even ma hom teamz doing good but i'll alawyz support zim..those early dayz..they rokedd...even 2day...GO ZIM GO..
k maybe they weren't world champion material team back then but they were capable of holding there own against the world champs n still provide enteraning cricket...without it being a one-sided contest
Isnt it such a pity that the Zimbabwean cricket team is the way it is today. If you combined the Zim team of the 99 world cup and the 2003 world cup you would have a team that I really think could beat any nation.. or at least put up one hell of a fight. Neil Johnson, Andy Flower, Heath Streak, Whittall, Olonga, Hondo, Carlisle, Blignaut, Taibu, Price, the Strangs, Ervine, Goodwin.. a full strength Zimbabwe team would throw punch 4 punch even in test cricket.. im sure of it.
yeah i really feel sorry for the zimbabwean cricketer who done alot but got noting i am a pakistani but belive me i was bigger fan of zimbabwe than my own team
Wha do you mean "beat any nation"? let statistics do the talking and they'l tell you these guys were not world beaters at all but general strugglers. Save for Andy Flower, the rest of these guys were sinkers...
anyone remember when ireland drew with them and then beat pakistan?
great days, r zimbabwe still a test team, if not can ireland or holland or someone take their place?
i dont like all the anti-white stuff that goes on(anthony ireland) but i have a lot of respect for zimbabwe cricket, prosper utasya and that dude with the dreads
if you look at the zimbabwe team it's quite a good 1 with the flower brothers in streak, murray, blignaut, wishart and so on and now well they aint got any names and there team is very weak.
Neil Johnson Grant Flower Murray Goodwin Alistair Campbell Andy Flower Stuart Carlistle Paul Strang Guy Whittall Andy Blignaut Heath Streak Henry Olanga!!!!
What a pity that the Zimbabwean team has lost so much talent ... Just think about the 1999 Zimbabwean team .. There were classy guys like Neil Johnson, Murray Goodwin, Grant Flower ... Their current team is worse than Bangladesh

The 99' World Cup Zimbabwe could dismantle any team. They truly did punch above their weight on every occassion.
