  • I'm a city cat, forgive me for being a little confused here...

Did you just shoot a mother and orphan her two fawns?

Or did you kill one of the fawns?

What exactly ran off with your arrow embed in its body?

  • Yes, no, and your eyes aren't deceiving you. Hunting seasons are established on biological facts....fawns can and will survive w/o mom as early as Sept. 15th. This is a high density doe area, management of the doe population is a must.

  • @tidecoys - thanks.

I'm sure you're very aware of the "disconnect" we city cats have when it comes to facing what has to happen to the animal before the hamburger shows up on the table, lol.

  • Very nicely done, on both ur vid and ur hunt!

I fully agree with u...in fact...if u ever r in the midst of being busted...act/look/sound like a deer and they will sometimes approach u. I've done it several times successfully.

    5 stars *****

  • Thanks for the nice comments. It is great when everything comes together and then I went out last night and nothing. The wind was a bit goofy last night and I am not sure if that was the problem or not. It was the first hunt out of that stand, gotta go do some trimming and the decaying fawn laying about 15 yards away didn't help much!! Good luck this year!

  • Great job man! I know exactly what it's like filming your self so i give you full credit. Keep it up!

P.S. I think you sold me on those decoys.

  • I got my first mulie doe last night at 50 yards. congrats
