I think all in all the Academy has made some good choices that have to be praised. They look for good performances but you cannot define a good one. They come and go on screen and it is the job of organizations like these to see they get their reward. I was wondering what Irons was doing at 48. He touched the women next to Michael Jackson and I think he put their hands together. I am not sure anyway.

I thought it was an excellent choice for the award. Although I do not agree with some previous choices the academy has made. Richard Harris should have won one, Robert De Niro won 2 for his work and they were easy to get. If you are an American then you have a better chance of getting one than if you were lets say an English person. Costner won 2 and he worked quite hard on Dances With Wolves. Gerard needs some attention also since he is a good actor.
