JU aikido ? you must to take off the aikido word. thats just fighting, with aikido techniques, but injuring to the other one. try fight and win to yourself first. I mean.. your ego!
sweet video, with sweet music. i wonder how long it takes these aikido guys to learn such beautifully choreographed routines. . .someone please post a link for a real aikido match, even a sparring match will do. tired of seeing demos of one faux-badass supposedly suppressing the surrounding enemy
I keep on watching this, how do you achieve a iriminage but hitting them so violently and them not going KO? Its just amazing!!! I hope you may find some time out of your day to reply, would love to have a chat :)
Can you post tutorials? I can never seem to make people flip like that! Especially with such... I donno, you make it seem so fluid, like in the video games ;D
That's amazing! i do Aikido in the UK, but we have a dude from japan who is like our head instructor (6 or 7th Dan I believe), but at my club they are all old men! (I'm 16). And they always go on about the spiritual connection, we never do anything brutal, I understand that the connection is important, but we never change! And never use Utemi! D= I'm so learning this version aswell as Aikido when I'm older, then I'll be a true Master, along with my Taekwondo and Wing Chun =DDDD
This doesn't deserve to have the name Aikido on it. Aikido is about peace and love since it is the way to harmony, not to war. This can be used by violent people and makes people want to hit instead of wanting nothing.
@yowyOw69 just cause it can be used by violent people doesn't mean it was meant for them. and although i dont know the fighting style and am only looking it up to see exactly what it is i might be wrong but to me it looks like its meant for self defense and is just getting people to the floor to submission (mind went blank and dont know how to describe DX) them so it doesn't get into a big violent fist fight. of course like i said i could be wrong.
@SENSEIJOCIC well yeh i know, and they can call it what they like, i just wouldve thought japanese translation wouldve had it ending up as Aikijudo - i dont even know why i commented :L
Why is half of them newbies? Thats just retarded, its like seeing brazil vs a boy team playing soccer. Nothing impressive at all, if not the boyteam wins.
No doubt. But apart from this half-humorous remark,I personally think that many of the modifications made to Aikido in order to make it more 'martial' or 'practical' are actually nothing more than a 'backward evolution' of the art toward what it was practiced in 1930s and eventually toward how Daito-Ryu was and is practiced. Of course by the term 'backward' I don't mean any offense or underestimation of your style, but only pointing to historical and probably philosophical evolution of the art
@rrahmanian I totaly agree with u. BTW Fighting Aikido( i mean for the video's title) is one od the dumbest words i have ever heard of,hahahaahhaa they don't realy know the meaning of Aikido
Why is that when you watch demonstrations by O Sensei or most of his uchideshi, you never see ukes tapping on the floor like crazy, but you do see that a lot in most of 'innovative' aikido styles, I wonder? Is it possibly due to lack of skill and effectiveness of the former senseis compared to the latter or ... ?
@SENSEIJOCIC Just to be clear, are you implying that your techniques, and I am assuming that you are the founder of Ju Aikido, are more effective that those of O-sensei?

Looks cool. I'd be more afraid of getting hurt practicing it than getting beat up outside the dojo. Pretty cool combos though.
