i don't know who the hell said tara landed a loop. but no body has ever landed a quad loop yet, perfectly. evgeni plushenko had landed a quad lutz with full rotation but he fell after landing.

@sumimimi0 You are correct. Although Tara Lipinski is the only woman to have landed a triple loop-triple loop in a competition. That itself is a great accomplishment.

I heard Maochan was working on a 4loop, but that was when she was in Lake Arrowhead with Rafeal Arturiun. I think. I haven't seen vids though, they might exist.

Yep, she tried quad loop and salchow! In many ways I still think that Rafeal Arturiun is a better coach for Mao! i. e. Challenge & Revolution

Well, he is the jump man! I think Mao's problem now is her growth. :/ No coach can really stop the awkwardness of growing.

I guess. But I think it's so hard to be the whole package like yuna kim. Mao focuses so much on the jumps, you can really see it in her eyes, she wants it. Her artistry would probably begin to improve if the 3axel was taken away from her. You know how determined she is!!!

true. yu-na has everything on ice. but mao is very beautiful and graceful on ice too but its just kim is better. i ithink of mao wants the olympic gold she should NOT have two 3As and replace one with 3F + 3T or 2A + 3T. Then less pressure = better artistry. Kim just needs to be more comfortable with her jumps which is the same for last 3 years. She probably have mastered them already. Mao used this season for her challenges so next season, she should really think about having the best program!

Mao definitley wants it. it's her only thing missing now from her trophy cabinet. You have to admit that yuna has BLOSSOMED with her jumps in the past couple years WOW.

I don't know who i'll be rooting for in the Olympics. I really don't think it's gonna be one of these young girls even though they are dominating. I miss Michelle, i hope she comes back.

It's true that, in Olympics the favorites rarely win. E.g. 1998 Nagano, Tara Lipinski?? Michelle Kwan was the favorite! So again, there is a chance that someone unexpected win the gold

I know. Shizuka was a total surprise in 06! I thought that she was past her prime, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Maybe Carolina kostner can finally get her stuff together long enough to pull together 2 programs.

i think for quad loop mao is probably the closest! i know but if you watch her montage challenge and revolution! you see that mao landed quad loop in practice! tara lipinski landed quad loop in practice but there's no video available for it:(

I seriously doubt that Lipinski ever landed a quad loop. She was 4'11" for cripes sake.

@skatergirl1234ever Yeah! Brandon Mroz landed one this summer right? But I posted that comment over two years ago i.e. when quadruple salchow was the most difficult jump in both of the disciplines.
