Splendid! Andsnes is the pianist's pianist -- consummate soloist, but tremendously sensitive and communicative in the ensemble as well. The one thing I would like to see him take on some day is to accompany the great German and Nordic romantic song literature with a singer as comprehensive expressively as he is -- Bryn Terfel comes to mind, but there are others. It's not an act of "accompaniment" at that level, it's true dialogue -- and he is so obviously equipped for it as an artist.
