Harold Camping is going senile and will probably not live much longer. I have a very huge problem with his views on Eschatology, but I can respect the level of influence he has had on the current discourse. I've never been one to condone trying to use Numerology to unravel the mystery of the end times, nor do I concur with the Dispensational Premillennial viewpoint and the rampant Futurism that comes with it.
i was a Campingite in the 90s and fell for the 94 date as well. I believe Mr. Camping is sincere, and that he is a Christian, however, he does steach some false doctrines, such as Christ died twice, people who go to Church are in rebellion against God, etc. Lets pray formr. camping, as he has a big responsibility. I'm not a calvinist, and reject its determinism and limited atonement doctrines, so I personally don't think those teachings were good, either. I can see a link between a belief in determinism and the stubbornness we see in Camping and his followers (1Sam 15:23). Those who disagree with him are easy to write off as not elected to see.
