it was well done and the robot looked really creepy but I'm so lost on the storyline...what happened? what was she hugging? what did it go get? why did it just shut down? so lost...

I think she was hugging some part of his stomach and then he went to go and get food for her and somehow getting food for something was against the rules because you could see the security camera zoomed in on it and then somehow it shut the robot down so he couldn't get to her.....I think....that's my guess but I could be totally wrong.

You may be right, especially when this 'thing' given to her by him at the end is shown shut down as well (like it was some his essential part that can be detached but dies along him).

i liked it a lot. I knew generally what was happening, but i had some weird ideas

i knew he stole something for her, and when the alarm thing went off i thought it was some sort of police force or something overlly powerful to punish him, i though it was like in 1984 by george orwell... but now i get it and it's awesome.

The style of this particular video seems to be very different from most of the other Vancouver films which tend to have a "Disney" feel to them.

And the plot was very compelling. Amazing work.

the robot found the girl. he saw that she was dying so he gave her his batteries because he thought it would save her, but it doesn't so he looks for that little jar he found with her thinking it will heel her. sadly he does not make it back to her because he ran out of batteries. understand?

actually he saw an empty can, and thought she was dying due to lack of food. So he stole some food for her so she could live but in the process of taking it back to her his reserve power ran out.

your right, he new that her energy was drained due to lack of food,but at the time all he had was his energy source. so he gave her that hope it would sustain her until he got her food. i guess i thought the robot didn't understand human needs> good observation on your part.

The robot did not give birth, nor did it get shot by the camera.. From what I see it as, the robot gave it's only energy source to someone he felt needed it more than himself. At least that's what I think... As for the bag, I think it just picked it up to resemble what he used to have to fool the cameras.

For those saying the robot gave birth: I think that the robot gave the woman its reactor so she could survive until the robot came back with supplies, but the robots' reserves didn't last long enough.

I read it as being the robot's energy source as well, probably for warmth. Why would it give over a baby robot?

I guess with all the unsure responses, that it would be better to make this more clear.

The actual animation and style was excellent though.

Wow, the animation is truly incredible. That is some amazing work; truly an artist! As for the story, I'm guessing that the robot traded his battery for the girl's things that would have supposedly passed her the energy and life that she was lacking. But it still doesn't make much sense. Still a great animation!
