i think it was tony's way of saying he finally "gets it" why chrissy kept on doing the drugs despite all of their best efforts to get him off of them. A friend of mine told me once about the effects of dope- they keep chasing that original "greatness".

I absolutely love this episode. There is a sense of profound insight that's captured when high on peyote. Not an easy thing to translate to the screen I imagine without going off into some clichéd imagery.

The colors and haze in the last scene is crazy.

You'd think Tony was a very happy man. No, he's very miserable. We love him because it seems he does so many things right, has money, and hot babes. But look at the price he has to pay. He knows his soul is tainted and there's no hope he can ever redeem himself. He's commited all the deadly sins.

It's a reference to Christopher; Chrissy dies(tony kills him) then he hits it big at roulette then Tony says, "He's dead". then cut to the scene of the dump truck, dumping garbage and unloading weight, another reference to Chris. He says he gets it cause he knows things are changing for him now that Christopher is gone.

The flash on the other side of the mountain is a reference to "Mayhem" when he (as Kevin Finnerty) asks the person whom he's on the phone with what that weird beacon was. Obviously, Tony has now found the answer.
