thanks for the video. i have an issue with W7, VirtualBox and BT5 Gnome 64: I see the shared file in W7 explorer but I can't access it even though i nade sure the workgroup are the same in samba. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.
@pboom112 Here is the deal, with backtrack 5, the kind of linux that BT5 runs off of, requires that you must have to input a username and password. People have attempted to alter this and all they get are issues and error messages, so unfortunately, I cannot help much there. If I recall correctly, with BT4, once you installed it, you wouldnt have to type in a username and password, just the startx. but anyways, like I said, It requires a username and password.
@pboom112 If you booted with virtualbox, then you may be able to do it if you actually install BT5 with virtualbox onto the hard drive, just like if you installed windows 7 or any other operating system. or just get a thumbdrive or external usb drive, and install it to that!
Getting this Error. Please help.
root@ubuntu:~# mount -t ntfs /dev/sda3 /mnt/windows
Mount is denied because the NTFS volume is already exclusively opened.
The volume may be already mounted, or another software may use it which
could be identified for example by the help of the 'fuser' command.
