Interesting that he refers to Ian as Ian Mackaye from Fugazi and not Minor-Threat, which would have been Black Flag's contemporary at the time. Then again, his music with Fugazi (for me at least) is a lot more memorable.

I went to an all boys school, and im talking 2000. Man...when you're surrounded by kids listening to reggeton, and the handful of kids listening to Fuel and Slipknot, there is no lonelier existence than being the Ramones guy. Like, every day, "oh, it's so simple. It's boring" These where the same kids that made fun of me for hating Bad Boys 2 and praising Bad Taste. Sometimes, SIMPLE is what it takes...and three chords can fuck shit up!

He is very much sincere to all things and very self critical of himself and also, when he is making jokes about various musicians its very obvious that he is laughing with them, not at them. Im from Argentina and I never thought The Ramones werent famous in USA until I saw End of the century movie...Here in argentina there is no way you cant listen to rock and roll without listening the Ramones, for me the ramones were rock and roll explained in a song. The first song I ever played with a band was Blitzkrieg bop. It just works like this in argentina..
