The mixture of Japanese and American sensibilities are very interesting. The way the characters flow and act is very American in style, yet the shot angles/setups as well as the beautifully intricate scenes are very Japanese. I loved the way we are introduced into the Princess's room by showing the flowing waters from the fountains as Nemo and the Professor walk in. Very awesome. While American animation fully acknowledges the character, Japanese movies acknowledge the entire scene.
