@Imastarwarsguy Uh Goku didnt go SSJ2 when they were in the hyperbolic time chamber he went SSJ Second stage and then Third Stage Super Saiyan which is the same thing as Ultra SSJ and if you pay attention to every Super Saiyan 2 transformation and fight with the form you'll see that there are times the Character has no lightning what so ever heck Gohan when he went SSJ2 at the start didnt have lightning against cell and in World Tournament til like 2-3 scenes after.

@TheCash21011x when we bother to count something, we make it important, thats why we dont count how many times goku went ssj. i dont know...in my book, powering down for some minutes only to power up again to face the same guy only counts as one time for me. gohan turned ssj2 for the 1st time during the time with cell. a small break from the fight with powering down dont count in my book as worthwhile enough to make the ssj2 change count twice.

so i guess he must not have spent that much time training and perfecting his ssj2 transformation because Goku and vegeta become ssj2 almost effortlessly later on before thay start fighting eachother. i personally blame chichi for turning gohan into a bookworm. he went from being a magnificent butterfly to an insignificant worm. it brings a tear even to the devils eyes... and a smile super buu.

i realized something while watching gohan transform. goku once said during the cell saga that it takes alot of energy to transform into a higher state aka ssj, assj, or ussj. thats why he recommended gohan and himself to stay in the ssj form to get used to it. so when i saw gohan transforming into a ssj2, even though it looks cool and all, it seemed like he was struggling... well not struggling per say, but he seemed to waste a lot of energy in transforming into a ssj2.

Broly's power just increases during a fight, it is no where near enough to make him turn Super Saiyan 3. To turn super Saiyan 3 you need to do what Goku said, broly has the latent ability to become powerful. However Super Saiyan 3 is in a level that only can be handled in the Other world. Dont get me wrong, Broly is stupidly strong. The way they killed him was stupid and made no sense, but he doesnt compare to teen ssj2 gohan.
