This was really rad. I'm pretty into super 8 recently so I love to checkout other peoples' work. A monopod or a tripod would be nice for some of those telephoto shots. Super 8 is hard to keep steady. Where did you have this transfered?
It was on a tripod, believe it or not, albeit, a cheap one. I had this developed and transferred to mini-dv at PAC Labs in NYC. They are one of the best labs around. I haven't shot much since this, I'm dying to get back to it.
Hi, I bought a Filmsonic 1223 and wanted to know what the focus button was on the camera, is it to use as a guide or does it focus it for you? Great footage by the way!
It focuses for you. Every time you push it it re-focuses. Have fun with your Filmsonic, I can't wait to put new film in mine. It's been a while. Thanks for the comment!

well just check out the footage here and see what is different. Notice things like color balance, depth of field, is it in focus or not, does it randomly skip frames, is there sound, the list goes on. Try and fit these into your video and see what you come up with.
you can either send it in to get it onto MiniDV or do it yourself by getting a projector and palying it ant filming it with a video camera that capture the fotoage onto your computer

My advice-dont! video always looks cheap when cine effects are added. Just buy a cheap super 8 and shoot with it.

I had my super8 film developed at PAC Lab in NYC. Most places have an option to transfer it to miniDV for you.
