  • human beings is attached with nature, religion monetary system army governments is in the way.if we go back to nature we involve spiritually,t.v,materialism, money and all this stuff they keep us away, money is the source of violence disease and so on,we are not free.None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.btw they only thing that i keep from religion is,love.

  • Well I believe that it doesnt matter what religion it is you are, because every religion has at least a trace of some good energy around it. That good energy is what I believe to be god because he unifies us all with that energy no matter what religion we are.. It is that energy that keeps us from turning into a bunch of mindless greedy savages, oh wait I guess that doesnt pertain to us Americans -_-.... Wake Up Sheeple!!

  • When there is something I'm not sure about I look to George Carlin for answers!!

  • What a champ!

  • and i think: this is cool ,let me share it on facebook...shit, he's right, no way....idiots will stay idiots

    giving up

  • what interview is this

  • @MrPiestrak Very well said! I was blind by "what is really going on" till I woke up one day and my job was gone. Couldn't find another job, was foreclosed on, and the only thing that kept me from being homeless was my van. It is sooo worse out there than people realize.

  • he should be made president...yeah he's dead but so what

  • @GriefTourist George being president from the grave would be a severe improvement to any president we have had! He would certainly accomplish more!

  • Takes quite some ego to try and patronize an entire species. He looked like he was living a rather comfortable manner I must say.

  • @ma049

he was right though, wasn't he?

  • Comment removed

  • @ma049 There's a difference between living comfortably and extravagance.

  • @MrPiestrak Well said.

  • God bless you George..RIP.

Where you are now you -know- all the answers and the ending to all this...

  • -If we give up now his messages were wasted on us-. When will we ever learn. Let loose of comsumerism and look to the basics that our country started with. Stop being so selfish, let go of the greed and look to what is really important in life...it isn't toys, it isn't houses or fancy cars or fancy vacations or MORE money.

  • It is true. I gave up on the human race at age 12. And nearly 30 years later, I still do not see any reason to go back. Now it is much worse now.

  • George Carlin wasn't a comedian, he was a philosopher.

  • I closed my facebook account now ... Happy now I can give up on my species ...

  • I gave up on the human race at age 12 in 1982. Only on occasion does the human race do anything good. and Carl Sagan spent 60 minutes on this idea on E13 "Who Speaks For Earth?" in the TV series Cosmos. If the world did actually end on 12/12/2012, I'd be happy to die on that day. But I would also see 7 billion human beings go the same way as me. And to see the shock on their faces about it. They thought their lives and their world were perfect but in the end that saw otherwise.

  • @darkangel2347

At age 12? Thats young to be giving up on your species future. What about the good people in the world (psychologist, perhaps. Secular humanists, etc.)?

  • I gave up about 3 years ago. I'm happier now.

  • Well, if there's an afterlife, at least he gets what he wished for.

He can just sit back and enjoy the show.

  • he is da real deal

  • i've been reading the comments and i think its safe to conclude we all just might be "enjoying" our borderline sociopathy

  • @sagar246246

Which is the more intelligent route to take. I'm enjoying it increasingly.

  • People are naturally attracted to material wealth; these small objects of small worth distract people from seeing the bigger, more important picture, the one that illustrates how we live, who really governs us, where we came from, how we CAN IMPACT THE WORLD POSITIVELY, most importantly. Mankind is unfortunately succumbing to its primal greed. George was right, though, we are incredibly gifted and squandered our potential on personal possessions.

  • He reminds of me Socrates.

  • People are lost ,and dead..they are gone.....they spend more time on football than the shit...thats going on in the world.

  • he is right but why did he have to give up the fight. to give up is to actively let the fuckers win! FUCK THAT, I don't want to make it easier for them at all. I want to make them work for it!

  • I take comfort in the fact that the universe at large doesn't give a shit about this stupid, arrogant, self-reighteous species of primates that are so convinced of their own rightness and place that they destroy not only others of their own species for being different, but also their own environments which they depend on to survive.

  • @damaged01 Well said.

  • i'm only 17, but my perspective is unlimited because i questioned everything, never take things for granted. carlin speaks of great wisdom and truth, but people don't want to wake up, such wasted potential..

  • The pile of shit is too high. Well said.

  • Sadly you can see a lot of people who have come to the same conclusion as Carlin and I'm not saying they are wrong. A lot of the 99% aren't prepared to act for change. A co-worker said to me that if sports channels were lumped with excessive taxes to view then there would be a revolution immediately......I'm afraid to say that I believe him.

  • he is one interesting old codger

  • we need more people George Carlin ...R.I.P.....

  • Reading Facebook comments from religiously-biased Rick Santorum supporters has me feeling like this.

  • exactly enjoy the freak show while ur here. sometimes i see some people and they'll scare the crap outta me, face looking like the elephant man "john merrick.'

  • He simply detached himself for his journey in the last phase,of his life, allowing him to look at things from unique perspectives His knowledge gained from time on earth with his (our) fellow primates....are priceless!!!!!

  • @BallsadeepmodeXYZ He's held that position for a long time actually. It's not uncommon, it's a form of misanthrope and is part of the stoic philosophy.

  • Correct observations, wrong conclusion. Passivity of good people is our biggest problem. Do something good, even if it is small. Contribute positivity, right now you are in a very bad spot.

  • @Rachemagnet I agree, the problem is people are too caught up in frivolous things that don't matter and you can't reach them. They're so consumed.

  • Hey Gorge,

you have giving up with the species if you were given a million years you couldnt make a pc take a look at new york it all started back from nothing all the way to greatest community in your head there is no god but when you look in reality there is. we are the greatest species on the planet.

  • @dudegamingteam Greatness? We are a minuscule dust of sand in the grand scheme of the universe and time. His point just went way over your head. Intellectual capacity is nothing without the ability to understand and see the bigger picture.

  • I understand what he's getting at but I can't bring myself to be that cynical. I would prefer a Gene Rodenberry type future where humans move beyond having money, things and power being the driving force in their lives and live to better themselves and society....oh well, i can dream.

  • He is one of the awkaned! I suppose I am too, but we get labeled as MAD or SINACLE. Bollox to that. Labels are made by our prisons guards, the prison being our own psyche and thoughts. Wake up people, before it's too late!

  • this man is so right! we are all going down the drain, but im like him, i dont conform to this society at all.

  • hes todays plato and still takin the same stick from conformist idiots as did plato all those years ago!

  • George was a fucking genius. There aren't enough people who think like him. I have given up on my species a long time ago, too...we really are circling the drain.

  • 2012 will be an interesting year. All this material bullshit that we have been brainwashed to believing is so important, will be gone!! Hopefully followed shortly after by us overthrowing our fuckin Globalist Polititians! Listen to him, hes one awake clever man!!!

  • This man is so smart, and none of us listened. He is only telling us what most of us don't want to hear, or admit that it is true. All we are caught up in is buying those big houses that we can't afford, getting the latest cell phone, computer, I-pad and filling our "stuff boxes"...we have lost what this country started out to be. He gave up, he's told us to long and no one listened.

  • wtf is he babbaling about...

  • @xXBCARLXx He is not babbling, babbling implies there's little thought or logic in it. He is sharing his observations of humanity. He says as humans we were gifted with great potential, and Americans were gifted with great ideas and aspirations, but greed and blind faith have clouded our judgment and corrupted our ideals. As a human, he wanted to hold on to those ideals, but gave up when he realized that humanity will most likely refuse to change.

  • @xXBCARLXx the downfall of america

  • @xXBCARLXx If you don't get what he's "babbling" about, then it's about you.

  • The best thing George every said...everything

  • The benefit of truth and perspective is what George Carlin gave to us all.

  • Why are there so many intelligent athiests who still have bullshit, enervating, life denying, "thou shalt", idealist CHRISTIAN values? If we are not to be judged by the poorest among us why do we waste so much of our own productive energy on these fucking pathetic people who won't create the lives that they want? In this life we have to be a creator/artist and make a life/creation/art that we can be proud of if we want to be happy! If the state (the new God) does it for us we'll never be happy

  • "Everybody's got a cell phone that makes them pancakes and rubs their balls, so nobody wants to rock the boat..."

    Lol. Wow.

  • I'm not a christian, but i hope that George is there in the distance now and is watching the circle of drain for the next 1000 years!

  • Who paid Carlin's big fees?

  • This man should have been President.

  • I believe there is an energy source 'out there' that I choose to call God (not associated with any group). That's as far as I go with blind faith (not so far-fetched). Beyond that, I attend the church of I Don't Have A Fucking Clue And Neither Do You. I believe that admitting to and understanding that I do not have all the answers is the most grateful and humbling act I can perform.

  • @AINT2COMMON Sounds quite reasonable, but I'd take it one step further. There may or *may not* be some cosmic force out there - how the hell would we know? By all indications, humans are unenlightened pond scum in the scheme of things and they don't say "I don't know" nearly enough I suspect.

  • @AINT2COMMON Not so far fetched? Nice self-delusion you got there, bro.

  • freedom scares people because people are innately evil.

  • @thegreenlightstop

    Why do you think that?

I can't say that I agree, but according to Erich Fromm, one of the main ways in which people avoid their freedom is through the destruction of others. I'm not inclined to think they're evil, but rather unconscious and afraid, sleepwalkers. They're constantly reacting to everything in knee jerk like reactions. Their fear is palpable. It's baffling, yet rather fascinating to observe this in people.

  • @thegreenlightstop I disagree. I believe the pressures of society is what makes them "evil".

  • nice tag sir.

  • Religion is for people who can't act/think or do anything or themselves.. The way I look at it is how is someone going to teach me something that they were not there for? If god does exist, I'd rather have him come down and smack me across the face and tell me to knock it off rather than hearing it from someone else. Fuck the church, fuck the government, and fuck the stupid ignorant people who allow those first two to prosper.

  • @PartTimePonderer nice :)

  • @JDSpiderman3 Thank you, atleast someone has a brain.

  • @PartTimePonderer "Religion is for people who can't act/think or do anything or themselves"---is an ignorant statement...that is a Fact.

  • @MarioBrosClassic stating that my comment is ignorant is not a fact, its an opinion.

  • @PartTimePonderer Hey hey hey hey what about you? School and media makes us stupid and apperantly we dont think ourself, but our goverment does and we just go with the flow, so fuck you and your ignorant comment. peace

  • @Killah184 well I don't know which school you go to but apparently the have the same curriculum as the teachings of the westboro baptist church. The thing with media is you can always turn the TV/Computer/phone off. Lastly, our gov is ass and you know it. So fuck you and your ignorant comment... and one more thing PEACE OFF FUCK FACE

  • i can't wait untill evryone kill all rich pepole!! ...... they are all money hungry ....

  • @reedypoem6 /facepalm. I guess you missed the part where George Carlin says we're all the same? Also, since rich is a relative definition, as you kill the richest 50%, the next richest 50% still alive become the new richest, and also must be killed. So you will need to wait until several billion people have been executed, and only one human remains. I hope you are kept waiting.

  • @reedypoem6 Start the ball rolling yourself then. Otherwise, shut up.

  • Better then Socrates.

  • He was a comedian second and a philosopher first. We need people like him.

  • a living man who weighs 150lbs still weighs 150lbs after he dies nothing is lost but he is dead... we are more then just matter. God is real and he is not limiting !!! to say God is limiting is someone who does not understand God himself. we do not need to revolt to revolt is to lose to the bankers because if we go to war with them they will supply both sides until they can establish people in power on both sides. then we repeat history. after the gov falls don't establish another one. = win

  • @novedzor and you say you, or anyone understands god? What arrogance..

  • @Gungrave123 Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Man does not understand God because some men don't ask to know him. We are what limit our knowledge of God. Just because you have limited yourself and don't understand him does not mean that no one can understand God... that my friend is a logical fallacy. If you do not understand what that is I suggest you look it up it will help you in deductive reasoning.

  • @novedzor

    2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.

    Deuteronomy 23:1

No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord.

Oh the wisdom of a text written by bronze age barbarians.

  • @novedzor

Freedom scares people. That's why people rely so heavily on "outside" authorities in the form of imaginary gods, cliques, politicians or even worship their possesions, as Carlin mentioned. This god you created is nothing more than a by-product of your imagination. He is you. The good news is that if you contemplate this for awhile, you'll see that this idea is actually very freeing.

    Go on, try it. :)

  • @carmel1119 I will have to say that If you know the Lord it is freeing. But at the same time Truth is also a cage in itself.

  • @carmel1119 The problem with freedom is if you do nothing with it, or squander it on something stupid, you have no one to blame but yourself.

That's way too troubling for people.

  • @aluisious

yes, and freedom like all ideals is inherently unattainable; we're still subject to influences beyond our control, genetics, environment. It's still an intriguiging notion though, and I do agree with Carlin, in that you have to change yourself first. Trying to pass the blame on everyone and everything else won't get you there.

  • @novedzor You're quoting a book written by people who understood nothing about the world for people who understood nothing about the world. They were guessing at stuff to try to make sense of things. Use your damn brain.

  • a device that makes pancakes and rubs my balls??...damn Apple get to work!

  • I can't believe this great man and another great guy like Bill Hicks are dead and the godamned Bushes are still alive. Disgusting.

  • he was the best

  • george love you man, RIP. wish i could of known you.

  • @rollsthepaul Most definitely!

  • The last act of a corrupt regime, is self destruction. Can you feel it?

  • However bad things get we must never lose that flicker of hope, because without it...the human species is doomed.

Why do I care even though I won't be there when it all ends ? Because I am an atheist, and without a soul to float up to heaven the only thing I have left to leave behind is memories, the good I have done, my tiny spec of a contribution to my species. And so I care.

  • I don't blame him. The guy just gave up.

  • I never laughed at a G.C. stand up show. He used to upset me of how right he is. Even when he said a joke, i felt like the joke was on me.

    R.I.P. GC, a great man.

  • @chiru2die4 Everything he said was incredibly accurate and actually somewhat depressing, because it's true. The only thing funny is how he said it.

  • George can I have some of your stuff?

Really.. I need a house overlooking the beach

Or are you another rich, bloodsucking dick soaking us to support your lifestyle.

  • @mnrob32 You sir, must be an asshole, jackoff or a scumbag.

  • @mnrob32 You should know George died some years ago, when you think you need a house overlooking the beach, save some money to buy it and stop being jealous at a dead man^^

  • i think the same since many year , at least i see i m not the only one , two thumbs up

  • +1 for carlin

  • Never listened to a more admirable philosopher.

  • Awesome

  • He was right, and the funniest guy I ever saw.

  • For the first time i have to disagree with george, you weren't like us, you were BETTER man!!

  • he says the pile of shit is too high.

  • I miss him

  • WHAT DOES HE SAY AT THE END?

  • @suddenuprising as far as I know, he said the same thing he'd said all along.

  • i love this man

  • @TheSameDamnGuy Me too.
