It's misteak. I know its spelled wrong but thats how they spell it.

  • Jim was SO talented. One of his BEST characters. Glad KnowwhatImeanvern posted this and keeps Jim on everyones mind, who looks and remembers him like I do. I had heard that Jim was kind hard to work with on camera..but he just seems like a good hearted guy and wish I had the privilage to meet him, while he was still here. RIP Jim..you made many laughs in my childhood...and still do.

  • Where did this clip come from?

  • @PoeticSpice

"Knowhutimean? Hey Vern, It's My Family Album " - - - an anthology of comedic short subjects released in 1983. Varney plays numerous other characters in several skits....i used to have it on VHS...its worth having if you can find it, but maybe most of the clips are on here...its very good.

  • Jim Varney was one of the best Actors in the world GOD REST HIS SOUL!!!

  • Nighty night mistake.....my younger half brother is ugly and a douchebag, so mistake fits him to a tee. Ha ha ha

  • cherokee comdy is the best aint it

  • "You know, Ruth, you shoudn't have fixed up all these delicacies like this. We're spoilt enough as it is!" lmao. Jim was utterly hilarious as this character.

  • I miss you grandpa.

  • "I better get in there, Ruth, and make sure that boy's pretendin' to brush his teeth." He's creepy at 6:03. Only Jim Varney could create and act out these characters. No one else compares in my opinion.

  • Family Album is a work of art. Billy Boogie isn't as good as the rest of it, but this, Corporal Davy, and fishing with Quequeg rank up with any American humor from any genre. Absolutely brilliant.

  • It's the snake guy from Ernest Saves Christmas. Awesome.

  • CLASSIC!!! miss this stuff!!!

  • Sweet Jesus...it's my grandfather.

  • "What scares me is he's actually a-gaining weight..."

  • What makes it even better is if you have people out in the backwoods in your area that actually TALK and ACT like that.

  • This is a family favorite. Saw it when I was a kid. Now and then at a family dinner one of us will sit down and say "so what r we a purtendin' to have for supper tuhnight ?" and all of us will just burst out laughing ! Love it !!

  • "Look at 'im... 6 foot 3, 265 pounds... he only 8 years old!!!"

    lmao

  • "What scares me is he's actually gainin' weight..."

  • yes, you can. They had a dvd with this, ernest in the army, ernest goes to Africa, and 2 of ernest's greatest commercials at Wal-Mart in that $5 bin next to electronics. Not sure if it's still there, though, but you should check it out.

  • yea daddy skeddie skeddie!!

  • 3:54 to 3:59 is THE FUNNIEST part of the Dinner Table Scene !!!!!!

  • May I please request Pop Worrell?

  • my step-father, Leland Kirk acts just like Uncle Lloyd! Always making you feel guilty for little things.

  • ain't got a pair of socks between me and europe ruth what are we pretendin to have for supper tonight

  • This is the greatest video ever made. My dad bought the VHS years ago - and Uncle Lloyds part is the best. "Nighty-night Mistake."

  • What is this from? The show or a particular movie? I've seen just about all his movies but I've never seen this sketch. Absolutely amazing!!

  • It's from Ernest's Family Album. It was a VHS in WalMarts about 20 years ago. I'm not sure how you'll be able to find it these days. But it is THE quintesential Ernest film. Hilarious all the way through.

  • LOL AT 4:05

  • i tried to disipline em i warped on em beat em with split rail funny stuff

  • He almost laughs at 4:40!

  • thats stills funny

  • "What skeers me is that he's actually a-gainin' weight."

  • For YEARS, I've been saying "He's a good boy, Lloyd" to my dogs... SO exciting to see the place I got it from as a little kid!

  • My favorite lines from this sketch:

Lloyd-"Cain't hunt, cain't fetch, cain't darge, cain't stay out of my way!"

*punts Spud, who screams in pain.*

Mistake-"Oh, Daddy. Don't do that to ol' Spud. He hates it when you do that. Makes 'im twitch funny."

    Ruth-"He's a good boy, Lloyd."

    Lloyd-"He ain't a good boy. He's dangerous."

  • In the end, was it Worrel or Misteak who said "I'm workin on his MIND..."

  • Mistake.

  • "I like 'em french fried pertaters, mm hmm." I never knew Ernest inspired Slingblade..

  • @cactusleaf He inspired a lot. Blue Collar comedy tour, especially Larry the Cable Guy. But, Jim was first. I like Jim better than Blue Collar.

  • FUNNIEST SKIT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
